For the first time in nearly two weeks I haven't been able to PAD anything on to my debt
My bank account was nice and tidy this morning so there was nothing to PAD
I am feeling a bit deflated, PADing is definitely addictive

Never mind, a direct debit is due out tomorrow so I'll be able to tidy up thenFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Morning all
I haven't been on for a few days as waiting for pay day however suring those few days I paid £11.96 bringing my "copper jar" total to 62.91 for January. These are from tidying up my account every day to round to nearest £10. I won't be able to make such big tidy ups each month but it's better than nothing.
So today I paid £200 extra to my loan on top of the above PLUS my monthly direct debit of £167.63. Therefore I declare January's total to be 430.54 paid however interest is then applied so balance shows:
#65 361.78/3486.86
I am SO pleased with that! It read c£11 not that long ago!
During Feb I will keep updating my copper jar totals until the bigger payments at month end. It keeps me going!

A little PAD to my debt this morning of £1.00, it all counts and today was the last day for payments before the statement and interest gets added on. Fingers crossed it's less than I worked out.

Let us know how you get on re interest - I too am in the same boat however mine is with my loan. It used to be a fixed amount that you could pay however they've since changed this so you can overpay - I don't know what that will do to interest so an't wait to find out.

I will let you know how I get on with the interest. I'll either be yelling through frustration or singing from the roof tops :rotfl:
No PADing to be done today because everything stands still in the bank account over the weekendbut I will be back to it on Monday to put it all to February's credit card payment

Ok. Have been reading through the Forums and have changed the debt I am paying... changed to my Capital One Card with a balance of £450.00 (it charges a ridiculously high interest rate). Used all my savings (after reading a forum article on paying debts before saving as i would make less by saving than the credit card interest would amount to) and have ploughed £120.79 off this debt today! Yay!!! I do have the security that if things get *really* bad - this card will be my emergency fund... BUT - only to be used in dire emergencies!!!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
