  • & thanks for updating :)

Well I have finally had my utilities bill ... £455  Now I am not going to count this as one of my debts as I have money budgeted for it (well fingers crossed it stays that way!!)

However I didn't pay my mum the full amount I owed her from last month as my daughter was born and we needed extra funds for hospital parking / feeding the hubby whilst I was in there etc etc so that has now increased to £1800 :(

I really feel like I am back pedalling although I am making progress with other debts - my mum was one of my priorities this year.

Well done on all the payments people :T A little and often will shift it eventually :j

  • Hi folks

Peanutnutter here number 60 on your list.

Yesterday was payday so I bit the bullet and rang the bank to ask them to cancel my overdraft of £130 eek!

So it's done and I've met my challenge! Yipee

Not going to think about the other overdraft of £825 just yet.....

    :(

mmmm. Today I got a letter from said bank (dated 31/01/12) informing me that my overdraft was expiring on the 20/01/12 and that to avoid interest and fees I should get my account into credit.

I rang them up and they said it was a letter error (I hope so) as my account was definately not in credit back on the 20th and I will be so annoyed if this has stuffed things up.

I am finally starting to get back into the money saving frame of mind after my little blip!!!
I am proud of how well you are all doing and hope that you are proud of yourselves as well. Just remember, paying off debt is not a competition, it doesn't matter who pays it off quickest, who pays the most in a year or who collects the most loose change ~ it is just about paying it off......no matter how long it takes!

  • Hi everyone. Saw someone over on the flylady thread with this in their sig. Would like to join to please e4rub.

The debt I want to pay off is the remainder of my DVC loan. To be awkward it's in US$ and currently stands at $4091.72. It was originally due to run for 10 years from Nov 08 but I've been overpaying regularly and have got the end date down to Mar 13.:T It would be fantastic to finish it before the end of 2012.
