    Hi there,

I'd love to join if it is not too late. I have two credit cards I would like to clear.

The first one is Barclaycard £181.08 and the second is HSBC for £555.39 therefore total of £736.47. I have today paid £10 off Barclaycard and £25 from HSBC.

My starting total therefore is £35/£736.47.

    Many thanks.

    Morning all.

Please could I join for this year. My aim is to pay off 1 of the credit cards by November currently standing at £1699.57. Luckily, it is on various 0% deals which run out Jan, Apr, Oct and Nov. I have set up a little spreadsheet telling me how much I need to pay by when so as not to get any interest charges.

    Thanks

I'd like to join please. 2012 is a brand new start for me. I'd like to pay off my duo credit card. I owe £4000!!!! Ahhh!
My aim is to pay it off totally by December. I've stopped spending on it and have forgotten my pin, so that helps!
Have managed to get debt free after £12k of debt in 2007, I lost my way this last year and owe somewhere in the region of about 10 grand. Gutted. By time to do something about it!!!
My first steps towards clearing my credit card was today when I put £272 and £25 from the remains of my savings. This has at least brought me in to 3k range. Will update when my internet banking reflects this.
I am stopping smoking on Wed, so that will free up £168 (!!!!) per 4 weeks that I will throw towards my debt. Also, anything I can raise will be put on my cc. I'm ignoring the loan and o/d for now. I need to concentrate on one thing!
Wish my luck, and good luck to everyone!

ok i've just checked my onlinebanking and as of today I owe £3971.36 on my credit card. I'm going to set up a DD to pay off £150 pcm and also will be saving £50 pw into a seperate account so I can pay off a lump sum every month also. My aim for Jan is to therefore pay off £400. I get paid every Tuesday so i'll transfer the money on that day each week. My minimum payment is about £100 so if i up it to £150 and add the £50 per week, ?I should be ok, as long as i'm not smoking!!!!! That is the plan!

  • no payment for me today but was wondering what you guys thought I should do.
£120 of my very debt is interest free until nov, should I just pay £45 and move onto my big bad boy credit card or carry on paying very until it is all paid and then close it. That's what I am thinking of doing, I just want to get rid of it but I know sensibly I should pay the other one ?

What do you think - sorry hope it makes sense, I have a tendency to ramble.

It depends really. I would prob pay off the smaller debt first for the satisfaction of getting rid of one but financially, you'd be better off tackling the credit card. Do whatever will motivate you the most x And good luck x
