What a great idea. Can I join in please? I am also on a DMP, my lowest debt is with Ikea and is £214 - I hope to pay this off with christmas money.
SAAC
In fact, the Ikea debt was £241 (old sausage fingers here) and I've paid it - they did in fact settle for £100 on a F&F settlement. Yay.
Goodbye Ikea debt, I'd like to say it's been a pleasure but it hasn't!!!0 -
I made my mothercare payment of £339 today, hubby put it on his card for me so not technically paid off but one less creditor and i get to go out!
Little one was a month prem and i had something horrid happen to my bowel so we were in hospital for 2 weeks!!
I have now got some spare funds that i was saving to go towards the pram payment so it will all be going on another debt, just need to work out which one,
By the way, the debt you have listed for me as a catalouge debt is actually cap 1, if you could change that i would appreciate it.

I'm interested - those people who are making smallish payments, how are you doing it? Is it going in a sealed jar, or do you go and pay it over a bank counter etc? I'm intrigued because I'm rubbish at getting small regular pennies together. Ta.0

Hiya,
Completely new to this.....but finally realising none of its gonna go way on its own! my husband and I have between £20,000 and £25,000 (not sure on exact amount which is scary) on 10 credit and store cards. Struggling to know where to start and tackling one debt at a time seems more manageable.
So please could I join your challenge and I would like to start with Next at £460.50

All my little bits and pieces that I pay through the month I pay through my online banking.
I like my bank acount to be nice and tidy with the pounds either ending in a 0 or a 5 so everytime a payment goes out to something else I round down to the nearest 0 or 5
I always make my minimum payment and then pay these extra little bits through the month. I've not been doing it that long but it's working well for me
Hope that answered your question.Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150
