Was considering the £5/£10 a day challenge but know i will just blow the money on treats and takeaways! at least this way i will put it to good use.

Will try to pay off my lowest debt £155 Studio cards by the end of the month and then tackle the big scary ones

Good luck. It's great once you start. I'm getting a bit obbsessive already! My sister gave me £100 for Christmas so i'v just paid that off the cc. Brings my total down a bit!

Hi - can i join in please? I have £800.00 overdr id really like to get rid off! I paid it off twice last year but this time im going to pay a little of as and when and ring up the bank and actually reduce my od limit!

I have studio account and i missed payments last month so had to catch up with 40.36 payment.
Caught up with payment
counted pennies from jar £7.03 paid onto account.

Oustanding balance is £304 but they add interest every month

I have pledged to pay £20 a month which includes min payment
and save as many pennies as poss to reduce quicker!!

I also owe my stepdad in law £400 for shortfall in our bathroom
as c/tax finished am saving 22.22pw week so most should be paid off by end of march

Just paid another 86p off my F/mans account this morning

I was surprised my bank let me do it for less than a pound but I'm glad they did

So far I've paid

Hi Emily & All,

I hope everyone had a lovely Xmas and New Year - Now back to work and reality! My new years resolution is to not waste money!!! in order to clear debts and save money!! and this year i am determined! so to start off the year i have paid another £80! towards my debts.

listed as follows - im #6

Overdraft - Paid another £50 off
Capital one credit card - £30 off

good start to the year! January is a bit tight due to xmas etc but come payday i will be paying off another chunk hopefully!

Hurrying to catch up now festivities out of the way:o

DD for my M&S card gone out - £271.14 - but won't make much of a dent as I used it over Xmas:eek:

Will be more realistic after statement date (tomorrow) so hoping to be on here more regularly.

Did get some money for my birthday so would would like to pay that off but I only really bank online now and there is no longer a local branch of my bank to pay the money into:( (ironic when it bills itself as 'the Local Bank':rotfl:)
