So, anyone still wanting selection boxes, run to sainsburys quick and do your shop in multiples of three and split it into at least two shops so that the coupon from one shop can be used on the next lot if that makes sense.;)

But don't forget your shopping needs to be over £20 for the price check to work!:)

  • Heard about this offer last night, didn't think it would go through but ordered 60 of the £1 small selection boxes for a local mother and toddler group. Had confirmation email stating that the B1G2F had been applied and the total was £20 and £5 delivery. :j
Great I thought until the ordered arrived this afternoon with a £65 total on the bill, an over charge of £40!
Straight away I contacted Tesco on the number on the delivery paperwork and after a few call backs i was told the refund limit was £36 and I could have an e-coupon for the £4. i persisted, yes over £4 lol but I did get a full refund of £40 and Tesco honoured the £25 total given in my confirmation email.
Only downside, Tesco took the £65 out of my account without confirming the total was more than the £25 I agreed so now have to wait for the refund to be put back in my account.
Bet Tesco are glad this offer's finished :o
  • Hi everyone. I'm absolutely fuming. I ordered the maximum online amount of 99 Cadbury Snowman selection packs at £1 B1G2F for my daughter's school PTA. They are going to be given out as presents at the Christmas party. I did click and collect and when I picked them up today at 4pm the guy told me thay had charged me the full £99 instead of £33 as the price instore was now without the offer. He said not to worry as I just needed to ring up Tesco.com and they would honour the B1G2F and get a £66 refund. I rang up as soon as I got home and the woman said the most she could refund me in cash was £36 and the remainder would have to be in Tesco vouchers. I said that I was buying on behalf of a PTA and that a £30 voucher is no use to them. I have a copy of my original order that clearly states the £33 charge. How can they deduct £99 from my card without even informing me and then say they won't give me the full amount overcharged paid back to my card. The woman said she would have to refer this to her manager who will ring me within the hour. Let's see what happens!!!

just had a call beack from one of the Tesco.com manager's and she was adamant that she would only refund the £36 cash and then give the other £30 in vouchers. I would not have bothered with the offer if I thought it was going to cause me this much hassle. I've decided to take it further, out of principle really, and they are going to ring me back tomorrow evening once they've sent my complaint higher up.

It really annoys me that Tesco constantly put offers on that they can't provide and then to take money out of people's bank accounts without asking them I'm sure is illegal. Can anyone tell me whether this is illegal ...to tell a customer that something is £33 then charge them £99 and refuse to give them the overcharged amount back in cash rather but in vouchers?

I'd make sure that I'd selected the right store and if everything stacks up at your end I'd have a word with customer services.

I had my Tesco order delivered today and had some selection boxes included. The buy one get two free offer worked on my order and it clearly stated on the website when I ordered that the offer ran until 20th November.

im suprised Tesco honoured such large quantity click collect / online orders as on newpaper and Tv adverts it clearly stated MAX 18 per customer
..i have been to tesco three days this week and shelves have been empty this was at 10 in the morning

but agree refund should be by the means you paid cash or card refund

Sheesh! Did you bypass the part about it being for a school PTA.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

Well as I said they have been bought for a Christmas party for a school with alot of disadvantaged kids. I don't think too many other people would begrudge some poor kids a 33p selection box. It didn't state anywhere on Tesco.com that there was a maximum of 18 per person that's why it allowed me to put 99 through.
I do have about 5 spare if you'd like me to post them to you and of course if you are that desperate!!!:xmassign:
