Would the new sainsbury price guarantee (supposedly instant at the till) kick in on this?

Yes - I bought 3 of the Galaxy boxes yesterday. They are 1/2 price at Sainsburys (though I can't imagine paying £4 for one), so got 3 for £4 rather than 2. But remember price guarantee relates to all the branded goods you buy so you get a lesser value coupon for your next shop if some of the goods you buy are cheaper at Tesco.

So, anyone still wanting selection boxes, run to sainsburys quick and do your shop in multiples of three and split it into at least two shops so that the coupon from one shop can be used on the next lot if that makes sense.;)

    yes but not on offer

I have to disagree with this. I got mine in an Express.

Loads of stock on top shelf and SEL on display

Mine were from express stores & they had a few boxes out back too so def worth a drive about as they'll be open late too.
  • Hi everyone. I'm absolutely fuming. I ordered the maximum online amount of 99 Cadbury Snowman selection packs at £1 B1G2F for my daughter's school PTA. They are going to be given out as presents at the Christmas party. I did click and collect and when I picked them up today at 4pm the guy told me thay had charged me the full £99 instead of £33 as the price instore was now without the offer. He said not to worry as I just needed to ring up Tesco.com and they would honour the B1G2F and get a £66 refund. I rang up as soon as I got home and the woman said the most she could refund me in cash was £36 and the remainder would have to be in Tesco vouchers. I said that I was buying on behalf of a PTA and that a £30 voucher is no use to them. I have a copy of my original order that clearly states the £33 charge. How can they deduct £99 from my card without even informing me and then say they won't give me the full amount overcharged paid back to my card. The woman said she would have to refer this to her manager who will ring me within the hour. Let's see what happens!!!
  • Tesco in Bo'ness had a stand at the entrance this morning with a reasonable stock of b1g2free.
Mind you none of the larger boxes.
I got three Cadbury's packs - the ones with six items in - for £3.
    Happy with my buy.
    :)

It's the 120g bars of Cadburys Dairy Milk (it's on a thread somewhere!) and I can confirm as got some yesterday. Someone also posted that the 400g Cadburys Fruit and Nut was going through at 83p, it scanned at full price for me but worth checking. Hope this helps.

Finally managed to get to a Tesco since this started expecting to see the shelves bare but as I entered there was a small littered display of the stockings & medium boxes. There was one lonely stocking surrounded by empty boxes and 4 unopened boxes of eight so picked them up with the lonely stocking and three medium boxes for me and my brother (who was with me). We would both have prefered the galaxy ones so ventured off to the seasonal isle which was as expected with very little (a few nestle packs) and definately no galaxy boxes however I noticed a lady out of the corner of my eye grab a small selection pack and chuck it back rather disgusted! so I turned with one of the medium boxes and told her they were at the entrance to which she smiled and replied they were what she was looking for
The cashier didn't know they were on offer and I doubt she knew of the 18 limit but tbh I probably wouldn't have got more of the 'medium' selection packs or Nestle offerings as I didn't see them as such good value. Need to go shopping tomorrow with OH so if these are still on offer and they have some Galaxy boxes I may sneak a few in :)
