My local store doesn't stock the stocking or Galaxy selection packs but I did manage to get 6 of the Nestle boxes, the shelf was empty where the Cadbury ones should be.

Went in to find the shelves almost empty with only a few boxes left (fair few Nestle ones but only 4 cadburys boxes) - however asked one of the people who worked there if they had any more, especially the cadbury stockings and they went and had a look and brought out boxes for us, so its worth asking!
  • Is this still on today? Thought I would try my local store as I am up that way

York store didn't stock the galaxy or £4 cadbury selection, but had loads of the cadbury 10 mini box, £3 cadbury box and £3 Nestle boxes.

It might have been, but just as likely to have been a school pta buying in bulk;)

I agree an amazing saving for a school pta to make, children can get a decent selection box off Santa. The 3 for £1 would be even better for schools. I wish I hadn't already bought my class their presents as I would have gone for the Cad stockings, as it is I have spent a fortune on pencil cases etc. and I'm pretty sure they would rather choccie, lol.

This is incorrect - you only get the price promise vouchers for b1g1f or others like this.
For example if an item is on b?g?f and they only have one or 2 on the shelf and you are not getting all the freebies then you can request the price promise voucher. If there are none on shelf then they will not give you a price promise voucher. This changed about 1 year ago.
Just thought i'd let you all know this is Tesco's policy now!

In Tesco, when an item is on offer and they run out of stock, the store has to give you an "Offer Promise" which means that you can buy the product when it comes back in stock at the price on the day that you requested it - even if the promotion has ended. You have to say the number of the item that you want and they will give you a tillspit that can be used in store later. These are brilliant because you can be sure of getting your item at the cheap price and also by the time they are back up in price in store at Tesco, they will probably be cheaper at Asda so you can price check the difference (with an offer promise, when you eventually buy the item it goes through the till at the higher price and the offer comes off as a coupon discount later). Offer Promise vouchers can be obtained from CS.

It is always worth getting hold of and hanging on to Offer Promise vouchers if you use Pricecheck/JTD - sometimes it is a good thing if the item is oos! (Also, if you request an offer promise voucher, sometimes stock miraculously materialises from the stockroom like magic.....)

Great I wish knew this morning, as there was only one left on the shelve.

My store was empty of the stockings/bigger selection boxes on the shelves, but ontop of the fridges were dozens and dozens of boxes once I started getting them down others did too, I even restocked a shelf as I only wanted 3 out of the box I got down :)
