This is the post with the link x

Couldnt find these on tesco site but exact same as these - http://www.cadburygiftsdirect.co.uk/...cter-bags.aspx

In big yellow display box thing stating on both front and back £1 and on both sides buy 1 get 2 free, brought 9, scanned at £3 each instead of £1 each, got £6 refunded at till, wouldnt give dtd though but i did ring up customer service and they have sent a £6 gift card out to me in post so got 9 of them for free, well even got paid £3 to take them away! £6 cash back and £6 on giftcard = £12 total.

My argument to customer service lady was why would i pay £3 for them? Id rather get the big ones for £3 (these http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Produ.../?id=259388380) as their £3 in store!

I watched a man in my local tesco walk out with a trolley full of these today, all he had was about 300 boxes.
The security guard noticed and the whole place went mad with SA's running round pulling them off shelves and putting them behind the CS tills.

Limit is supposed to be 18 per customer (6 deals, so I would at least have expected he would have to go round a load of times! Excellent gifts for school christmas fairs etc.

Sorry Dan2310 only just popped back on so didn't see your original questions. Glad you got some though, I only picked up 3 myself and there were probably about 6 (the ones that you got) left. They were on the top shelf? No sign but knew which ones I wanted anyway. Have kept mine in the boot of the car so I'm not tempted to open them!

Just had a look on line for the deal as both my Ts were fully sold out yesterday, but can only see that I can get home delivery. Where can I find the option for click and collect please? Tried a dummy order and went through checkout but can't see the click and collect option. It looks like the offer finishes on Sunday, as when I put a delivery down for Tuesday it told me that the offer was only valid until the 20th.

    Thanks
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Yeah those were the ones- top shelf and no there were no signs, good job the offer was on as if they had turned round and said £9 dont know what excuse I could of made :rotfl:

Thats a good idea regarding leaving them in the boot keeps them cool too!

Thanks for the tip anyway were done for Christmas chocolate now! :)
  • I managed to get 3 x Cadburys stockings today, but I must admit the shelves were almost completely empty. When I went back to the car I got an insight into why that might be as I passed a car that must have had about 40 or 50 of various ones on the back seat

So they are either not enforcing the 18 per customer rule or this person was making trip after trip after trip back into the store. As they weren't in the car at the time I suspect they'd gone back for another go!

I did wonder at the time if it was a shopkeeper getting stock in to resell but if that is the case it's a bit rough on ordinary shoppers who find the shelves bare.
