Merry Christmas to you all and many blessings to you at this time of year.
I had to wake the kids at 6.30 this morning <rolls eyes> the one morning I need them awake early, they sleep in.
We opened the front door to see if Father Christmas had been and he had. He seemed to have enjoyed his mince pies and milk and the reindeers had made short work of the carrots. FC had even taken time to reply to the note that my six year old had left him.
We opened the stocking presents from FC to much excitement. My four year old is really getting into it this year. Then we opened our presents, in past years it has taken us to New Year to open them all, this year they opened them all in the hourthey were so excited.
I was a lucky lady and got two sessions in the Bath Spa Thermal Spa and a Reading Spa at Mr B's Emporium.
We went to church where my eldest and I were on vestibule duty and greeted everyone and my eldest lit the candle. Then on to my FIL's for more presents. We are now relaxing while the kids play with Lego and we drink Champers and Stuart Little is on in the back ground while we wait on dinner. Bliss!
And a NSD to boot
Hope you are all having a relaxing day.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Big Christmas update -- the Christmas shop was £161, which is a great deal less than last year's £317  . The turkey was separate, from the butcher's -- £68 (free range Norfolk bronze) , and we got our chipolatas from him too, £9. So, total for Christmas is £237 and I have blown the budget with a total of 528. It does make me wonder how much I was spending in the years when I wasn't counting.
I'd like to think I was done with shopping now, but I still have to buy the meat (though not I think anything else) for New Year's Eve. Blame picky friends; I have enough salmon or beef for eight in my house, but this group of people are only collectively happy with chicken, turkey or venison. Unless there's a grand meal which can be made with leftover turkey breast...Make £2023 in 2023: (all decluttering), current total £2860 me, £330 for friends & family, £468 charity donations.0 -

Same here, Mine is usually the last Thursday in the month, so sometimes thats quite early. I would like to declare £115 for December. . Bit disappointed really, but could have been worse. I am not going to start my January Month 'till 1st and am going to run through to end of month this time.0 -
Happy Christmas all. Just totted up my spend for December. Way over, but the freezer is solid with meat from Donald Russell and soup and fillings for lunches. Should be fruit, and bread and milk before New Year and then back to serious slimline shoping.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500
