Hi all, spent another £1.30 on cat biscuits. No other spending so far, am surprised we are managing ok, will be baking again tommorow for the weekend (children are a plague of locusts!). Dp won a big box of biscuits at work which has helped.
I have £2.50 in nectar points which i'll get some fruit for lunchboxes with for monday and tuesday. Roll on wednesday is all I can say
Diesel is the issue for us, I have a 10 miles round trip school run twice a day plus at this time of year there are extra trips out there for discos and plays etc, I have a quarter of a tank left so it's not looking like it'll last, will have to find some money from somewhere for some more fumes

Went to Wilk*sons today and stocked up on toiletries and cleaning stuff. Should last us until well into January I hope. Also spent £26.50 in Mr S but that included a large piece of beef for Christmas as we don't eat pork. I have still to buy the turkey and bits and pieces for Christmas but I do have over £20 in Nectar points which I have saved up for this and we don't need a big one as there will only be 3 of us so should be ok. Although I only have £60.12 left for the month I should be able to manage. Plenty in the freezer and cupboards to eat up before the 25th and after there should be plenty of leftovers. I have budgeted for 4 Fridays (I get my H/K money on a Friday) at £50 = £200 but as there is actually 5 Fridays I do have an extra £50 to play with for Christmas extras if needed although so far I am managing to fund these out of budget.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Hi spendaholic,
I just popped on this thread looking for something (I'm not GC-ing at the mo) and noticed you said page 5 - this is page 3 for me, you might find it useful to change in your forum options so it shows more posts per page, cuts down the number of pages each thread has.
From the 'quick links' above and to the right, choose 'edit options'. There is a setting 'Number of Posts to Show Per Page' if you scroll down, it probably says 'Use forum default', I have it as 'Show 40 posts per page' I think it's the max.
Apologies if you already know this, just thought it might help as I was glad to find this out.
edit: obviously when I say 'this is page 3' I mean the page my quote is from, this is page 11 now
Lol I'll look out for her
Look out for the down south cadburys stuff (still in the foil & paper wrappers, the mint crisp and tiffin are especially good) - I believe they're made with proper milk still and not mostly veg fat like the are in the UK (although it could all be old wives tales!) but mmmm. I think it's always hard with heating. We've moved in somewhere with gas they pump into a storage tank from time to time... yet to get a bill and we just have no idea how much its going to cost..!
Some more spends to announce.. mum and I have decided to make 2 christmas cakes (a little late I know but we'll feed them with plenty of rum this week..!). Came to £18 for all the ingredients(!!) but I'll take that from a different budget. Sure you can't put a price on a bit of christmas cheer :rotfl:MFW Sept 2013 Starting balance: £101160.59 25 years
