Spent £7 yesterday on milk and eggs.
Today and tomorrow should be NSD's, could really do with getting
some satsumas for DD2's snack at school (she's addicted to them!), but
as I only have £2 left in my purse until Thursday, she can make do with
sultanas for 2 days, still healthy and means that I have the money in case of any dire emergancy.

HM quiche for tea tonight and hm coleslaw using some of the half of a
HUGE cabbage that mum gave me, it cost her 65p and was bigger than
    a bowling ball!

  • Had a small grocery spend of £4.95 for 2 x boxes chocolate fingers for christmas and 3 x boxes of fruit strings.

My dd had her school christmas fayre last Friday and she bought a raffle ticket and she won a £25 meal voucher at a local restaurant. We can use any time up until June 2012 so a free meal out for us. :j

  • Hi All,

I am on my first tracker month for what I actually spend in terms of groceries - What an eye opener! I called in for a loaf of bread this morning only to spend £10.77 :o I did come away with my work lunchs for the rest of December and lunch for today but still no wonder I always under budget!!

January - October are going to be a challenge for me (I will be on maternity) so hence why I am here. That and I am fed up of throwing food away ... I need some good habits!!

Back to lurking until the new thread appears - oh and pinching recipes from the first page :)

Well done on your tracking! This month is your trial runa and hopefully you will be well prepared for the "real thing" in January. Sometimes it really pays to only go out with a fiver-damage limitation!:T
I am having a splurge on renewing the bedding where needed ready for the winter when it really hits us-washing pillows, replacing duvets-ironing all the screwed up stuff in the airing cupboard-my eldest dd thinks I'm a bit mad I think-but it HAS to be done!

  • Hi All
I have some spends to add up, small spend in savers on wipes and kids toothbrushes. DS 2.5 yrs is going through a stubborn stage not wanting his teeth cleaned. Saw a battery one for £2.50 with a football on it and thought it was worth a try.

DH went to Sainsbugs Sat eve to get DD a small xmas tree. They were out of stock but he checked out reduced items and struck lucky. He got a whole carrier bag of meat, puddings and veg for £2.50. He was so excited!! One of the meat items was a partridge, not in a pear tree but for 60p, even better :)
