I did my first shop at Aldi and saved £9 on my usual's that I buy at morrisons - which is a potential saving of £36. However they don't take credit cards (the one I'm using now is 4% for first 3 months) plus morrisons are having a £25 deal which I'm nearly there with.....so I'm going to stick with MrM up until Christmas then I'm going to start shopping at Aldi each week.
The quality of the food was very good, we had a lovely pork joint yesterday and the 7p yoghurts were a hit with my family. We tried the £3 wine - which was drinkable but lacked a bit of body (the white was better than the red). We will still need to use morrisons for some things but certainly worth doing two trips.0 -

poundland batteries are ok we always buy them for xmas toys and remotes, we have a few toys we got last xmas that the batteries have just gone in now which is good going, ofcourse we also have some that have had several by now because they keep leaving them on, they last about a year in our sky remote so pretty good going if you get 10-12 for £1

Hello everybody,
I joined this challenge yesterday and didn't mention clearly that my budget will include just food and drink. I don't expect drink to include alcohol for the Xmas/New Year season. Also, I am happy to use my existing food purchases this month so wont be vulnerable to "overspend" on Xmas/New Year food. If desired I could make Christmassey recipes from my own food "stock".0 -
As I still have a house guest staying with me this month I had to nip out last night to replenish a few essentials. I went to Waitro$e as I had to return an item costing £11.99. My total spend was £18.72 for a few quick meals, some granola, milk etc. I also bout a foody xmas gift too. So I really only spent £6.73 but I will declare the full amount. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380

I was keeping a running total this weekend and went way over my £40 budget, so I put a load of stuff back - Xmas gifts (stocking fillers) not on the shopping list - and it came in at £39. i am adding an extra 50 pounds on this month as we have christmas and DD's 6th birthday on New years eve.
So 300 pounds for us this month.
I spent 20 pounds in morrisons on friday and then 75 in sainsburys yesterday. That included the baby's milk though.... and i found out they have put it up by another pounds so it is now 11.99!!! I cant wait until april when she is one so i can move her onto to cows milk!

Just popped on to update my spends. I can't believe that we have spent so much in a week but one wine order, one Costo stock up, one Boots stock up and 6 (!) trips to the supermarket later the total spent is £332.25. We are now very well supplied with almost everything you could require so I am going to be very frugal from now on. Just a few fresh products (and a Christmas ham) required. I am glad that I went through the process of adding it all up. It has acted as a much needed brake.0

I'm really frustrated that I didn't know about this. I shop there every week and it was only mentioned to me this weekend for the first time: too late to get the voucher as I don't ususally keep receiptsWill have to pay more attention in future!
