If they are something you will use and you have the storage space, then they are a good deal.

I'm never tempted by BOGOF's simply for their own sake - besides, a lot of them involve junk foods which we simply don't buy/eat.

If it's fruit, storecupboard basics, meat, fish, household/toiletries, then yes, I am tempted.

If it's biscuits, cakes, sauces, crisps, squash, pop, ready meals etc., then no, you couldn't tempt me if they were giving them away :o

I always think do I need it, will I use it etc. Like Queenie said there usually is a lot on junk. Which I don't buy anyway so wouldn't buy just as it was on offer.

Other thing I check is the price, many shops increase the price when 3 for 2/BOGOF is on on some products, winds me up that one!
One day I might be more organised...........

I guess it depends. I tend to get lured in - so perhaps not but on the other hand we do try to buy meat etc on "deal" and then freeze one portion so that some weeks we can have a cheap week. Having said that I have found in recent weeks I've become better at looking at the "deal" purchase and then going to the relevant aisle and often finding comparable products even cheaper than the "speacial offer". It needs canny shopping!!

I hate BOGOF's on fresh fruit/veg etc. As a single person there's absolutely no way that I can get through 20 oranges or 2 large lettuces in a week. I end up throwing a lot of food out - hardly the environmentally friendly option. I'd much rather see the unit cost lowered.

Nabowla I would also rather the offers were 'half price' but doesn't tend to happen often. When it is usually same problem, they have put the price up before lowering it.

I always buy BOGOF's for cleaning products, shampoo, teabags, cornfleks, things that have a ong shelf life. The only other reason when it's something like fresh bread, is if you can share it, I usualy buy one for me, one for mum.

i do stock up on bogof's but only on things i will use. like morrisons had ambroisa custard a little while ago on bogof. so i got loads of that. also they had noodles on offer 4 packs for 50p. so stocked up on these.

but some items look really tempting. but when i think about it there not really.

If, and only if, it is something you use a lot of and/or regularly. "Three for the price of two" usually means "Three times more than you need, for twice what you intended to spend". The only "3 for 2" I always go for is Fairy washing-up liquid.
