Afternoon all,
Happy Birthday Sistercas, have a nice lunch & hope Dh is better soon.
Bitsy-I love my Remoska- & use it most days- I resent putting my big fan oven on now.
Thinking of those of you who need hugs xxx
OK I take my harsh words about house viewers back-they've rung up for a 2nd viewing at the weekendIt means we'll have to do something about the cheap new telly DS got from a seconds place-it didnt have a base stand and is currently propped up on the unit on two rubber gloves(bright yellow) to stop it slipping :rotfl:nice... -better go and get a bracket.
I've got some lamb shanks in the slow cooker, and cooked a small ham joint in the pressure cooker-took about 20mins.Been to the supermarket, got a half price Xmas pud and a few other bits to put away, as well as the main shop.Shocked at the checkout again:eek:-money going nowhere at the moment.
TTFN-hope its a good afternoon.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Afternoon all,
Just popped back in to say the Debenh@ms sale is good. Managed to get mum a dressing gown and dad a fleece jacket both 40% off, so that's another 2 pressies bought. Think it is only on for a few days though.
Another batch of parcels packed up to post, gonna have a coffee before the gang arrive home:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Quick post. My mind is in the kitchen working, it's just my body crouched over the computer.
Happy birthday Sistercas. There is something mysterious about these few days. Today is my DS1's b'day, also 2 of my very good friends, My ex's and another friend's and my DN's yesterday and 2 friends and DSisinL's tomorrow. It's expensive!
Lou: did I detect a sorry somewhere? x x x x x
Ally: Welcome. Don't worry about interesting news, bore the pants off everyone - works for me.
I have a cold house too, due to meaness about heating. You just have to leave the dough longer to rise. I have been known to make it at night and leave in cold kitchen till the morning. For the second rising it sits on the cooker while it is coming up to baking temp.
Blitzed Mr T's this a.m. Spent over £80. £12+ on cat, £9+ on us and the rest on ingredients for multitudinous cakes for Xmas fair tomorrow, 2 of which are in oven at moment and the rest waiting for me to stop playing and get on with it. It would be easier to just give them the money, but where's the fun in that?;)I believe that friends are quiet angels

Afternoon everyone
Been a bit busy last few, read what I can - lots of hugs to all of you who need them ((( ))) - taking DD for very overdue jabs in 5 minutes so not time for detailed posts! Sounds like quite a few of us are having a rough time - always happens in the month or two before Christmas I find.Lost my dad 3 years ago a week before Christmas and I try so hard all year not to think too much about him (1 toddler and got PG just after, so too much on my plate to grieve properly at the time), but this time of year is so hard for me.
Think I need a few days at home when I can cry/scream/throw things to get it out of my system - but do you think I'll get them? Nooo, neither do I - will have to do it in cyberspace if I need to!
Back later, love to you all.
