Morning all!
Hugs to everyone :grouphug:and Happy birthday to sistercas :bdaycake:
Today I'm feeling a bit grumpy. DH forgot to get milk last night on his way home and decided he was going to laze about in bed this morning. So I had to go to the corner shop this morning . I knew if I said anything to him, he would just say "Oh, I'll not have any breakfast" Then he was waiting around for me, tapping his feet, when it was time to go to work because I was hanging up the washing WHICH he could have done whilst he was lazing around waiting for me to finish in the bathroom earlier. GRRRR!:mad::mad:
Looks like another very quiet day at work too, sure I read all the intternet yesterday, it certainly felt like it
Hope you have a lovely day, keep smiling if you can!:) xxx0 -
Hiya ladies,
Sorry to but in. I read your daily posts avidly all the time but don't post myself as I have nothing interesting to say but I wondered if you could help me out with something.
I really want to have a go at making my own bread by hand but my house is very cold and I don't have an airing cupboard so do you have any tips on how I can get the bread to rise first without putting the oven on straight away?
Thanks very much.

Morning all
Happy birthday sistercas I hope you have a fabulous day.
I havent posted for the past couple of day because i've still been feeling rather down. I did manage to actually do a bit of housework yesterday, not a lot, but I did do some much needed laundry.
I made the decision that I wouldn't be coming home over the holiday due to the cost of the airfare, my mum however took it surprisingly well and understood my reasoning. Although this will be the first Christmas spent away from my family. Its going to be a tough one. I just need to remember ill be back for good in 6 months.
Sending hugs to all those who need them.0 -
Morning All
Am very sleepy this morning, have had 2 late nights reading my book - it's such a novelty as it's only the second book I've read this year! Don't make nearly enough time for reading as I should do..... Anyway early night for me tonight.
Not a vest amount of OS for me today - am at home this evening so can crack on with the washing, and it's quiche and salad (in November!!) for tea. Will also make a loaf for tomorrow and Saturday morning, then DH and I are away for the weekend.
Went to my friend's last night and had a lovely evening catching up with her and another friend, lots of chat, amazing food and plenty of laughs is indeed good for the soul.
Seem to be hearing of bad news lately - have heard of the death of a young boy (5) at DD's school and a friend having a stillborn baby in the last 24 hours.... apologies if this is sensitive to anybody on the board
Things like this make you so thankful for what you have got, and acts as a reminder that life is just too precious.
Happy Birthday Sistercas, hope you have a lovely day.

as for the music... thats something that works both ways. sometimes listening to something makes me feel good but on another day it will make me feel carp. depends where my head is at. and today thats not a very good plce
You can't be helped? Nope sorry Lou don't believe it.
As for the music well on the days it makes you feel good turn it up and enjoy the positive benefits, on the days it doesn't enjoy the silence.

Hi all
Sistercas Hoppy Birdday!:bdaycake:
Bargainbird awwww, TillyDog is absolutely beautiful! Thanks for posting the link to her pic.
Lou hey there! I was getting worried about you, so I'm glad you've posted. I read your blog, but it won't let me post a comment - keeps asking me to choose a profile or something. Perhaps Bitsy can tell me what I'm doing wrong?:o
Er.... what else..... MMM sorry to read of such tragic events. (((HUG)))
Bramble glad Pup's resting at home today. Tell him Auntie Wolfy says to stay away from wasps!!
Well, I suppose I'd better see if I can eat a spot of lunch (no appetite, but hey ho). Come on Lou, join me; I hate eating alone.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW you need a google account, it's free to register. I've got one because I have my blog with Blogger. You can't comment without one HTH.
Been busy as usual this morning, stripped beds and remade them, baked cinnammon sponge, choc chip form biscuits and played post offices for ages with DD :rotfl:
Tea will be chicken in a garlicky White sauce I thinkjust need to prep that.
Am also going to invest in a RemoskaH nearly bit my hand off when he watched a YouTube vid stating it could save up to 80% electricity.
