Ties in with What Car's finding that it makes no difference for ordinary cars.
A higher performance turbo like the Golf GTI gives you an extra 3-5hp
A high performance car like the Impreza gives you even more.
Considering the price of 97 and 98 RON petrol is about the same, it would be pointless buying the 98. I don't know if Tesco 99 would be even better or not.
Bu the better economy figures (28 miles extra per tank) would probably equate to 15 in the real world. That's about £2 worth of petrol. But it costs about £3.80 more per tank!0
