  • Damn those pre-christmas sales and 40% off in millets! Have been eyeing up some merrell leather boots for months. The only thing holding me back was the price. So at £60 off it was rude not too. Will put any christmas money towards them though- so not so bad.
Have been paid today but work (as usual!) have cocked it all up. Was due a load of on call payments and overtime, but instead got my normal salary. Not quite the debt busting month I was hoping for!
Hope you all have a lovely day.xx

In fact for every "sorry" you can put 10p in your debt pot, like a swear box but cooler. *nods with approval* :p

:rotfl:If i do this it will be better than a swear box, everyone is always telling me I apologise waaaaay too much. I'm off to get some 10ps....

Excellent suggestion jakes-mum I am sooo totally going to start baking when I move into my new place, bit rude not to when I'll have an entire fridge/freezer to myself!

Suzitiger you don't necessary have to have real 10p pieces, I've got a virtual "oops I ate chocolate" box at the moment, it's up to £2 oops. Then next Tuesday it will go from being virtual to paying something off :)

  • Morning all :)

Finally have done something that will get me on the road to debt freedom! A book of mine sold on Amazon - hurrah! :D I'm also waiting to hear back on a mystery shopper assignment for this weekend.

I have a few more things I want to list on eBay,so my plan is to do that on Sunday. I have a bit of a dilemma - I finally got my Compare the Meerkat toy after months of waiting (Alexander no less!) but he is selling on eBay for £50!

To sell or not to sell?

  • Well done everyone on ur payments so far, Louby Lou I have just checked how much I have coming in tomorrow too. Oooh I'm excited as its more than I thought and I am still due some pay from other fitness classes I am waiting on so it looks like the debts are going to gwet there after all. I have the best I can manage as an approximate figure to update now for the 2nd post, unfortunatly I seem to have got into MORE debt since joining this thread, but I am pretty sure that is due to charges by HSBC which is why i am writing to them. Anyway, I am NOT going to say sorry for getting it wrong :) because we know now and I am being much better at watching my account and keeping on top of it, this month I am not due any bank charges becasuse I have been super careful! Right, I digress...new target £5353 ooh what a nice number lol I will update this when I have made payments and I have got more up to date statements as some of these were from september :-S Thanks guys, this thread is going to really help me, I just know it!! :)

  • Oh and greensaints its up to you but I would sell! If you want him more than you want £50 then keep him :) I am going to be selling a tony the tiger toy which I won years ago that is in mint condition, bit of a wrench but I REALLY don't need it. Get someone to take a picture of you with him (that's what I'm doing) then you still have the memory and proof that you owned him and also the 50quid! :) hope that helps

greensaints at the end of the day it's a marketing ploy of a toy.... I'd be selling it if I were you, then get a cheaper meerkat that's not affliated with a company that wants your dosh. Stick it to the man I say hehehe

New total (not as good as I expected)

    £350/£8500 (4.11% paid)

Still when payroll sort themselves out next month and pay me correctly, I can make it up then!
