On the plus side, I've had another NSD. On the downside, the Royal Mail website is still playing up so I can't figure out the postage on the items I want to list on ebay. Driving me mad!

Guess I'll have to stick to the survey sites for the rest of the evening....

    Hello!

I'd love to join this challenge, I have £13,210.36 to get rid of.. which has been holding me back for simply ages. When i think of the interest i've paid on it

    So count me in!!

Not 100% sure I'll manage to wipe all of it though as unexpected bills keep cropping up (note to self: must learn to budget for the unexpected?!) but anything towards my target will be a huge bonus. Soo looking forward to the new year :j

Welcome to the team theposhbint! Love your username! I'll add you to the 2nd post.

Just thinking, your debt is with a number of providers so I'm wondering if you'd also like to join the "pay off a debt in 100days" challenge so you can have smaller goals along the way...? I'm going to do this too and I believe the next 100days starts day after tomorrow (24th) so it's a perfect time for us to join up just so we can stay focussed over Christmas and stay on target

    xxx

Oh, and I think I've under estimated how much debt I have, but as I've not long since moved house I don't know where a lot of documents are in order to work out properly how much I owe :(

If it helps anyone with postage fees I found the RM pdf for this year: http://web.anglia.ac.uk/estates/downloads/UK_Postal_Prices_11.pdf

You can google for a airmiles one as well if you need to.

Welcome aboard theposhbint great name :)

    Hi Everybody,

You've really got me motivated to tackle some of my debt.

Please can you put me down to repay 7500.00 gbp to The Bank of Mum & Dad.

I've had this for a couple of years and they've never said anything about paying it back, but lately I've been guilt-tripping myself because I haven't repaid them anything.

I think the only way for me to do it is to put 'spare' money into a savings account, keep a record of how much has been deposited and then intermittently send a cheque for 1000.00 rather than repaying it them in dribs and drabs.

To get the ball rolling I deposited 20.00 gbp lottery win into the account, so my debt started at 7500.00 and I now owe 7480.00:T

    Good luck everyone
