Hi Mf0u1098, sorry to hear you've had a carppy Christmas, hopefully your parents will be able to resolve their issues quickly and your lives won't be in turmoil for too long. <<Big Hugs>. to you all.
Kerri - a while back my parents came to stay with me for two weeks , I love them to bits but before the first week was out I was counting down the days, I resorted to listening to classical music just to calm myself :rotfl:, I never listen to classical! I hope you get through the 3 days ok.0 -

Mf0u sorry to her what's been going on over the last couple of days. If there is just one place where you can get inspiration to look forward the. We are all here to help on this thread!
Every person here has set themselves the challenge of being debt free for a reason....
..... To have a brighter future, and with that it gives us a more positive look on life.
Trust me the more we clear individually, and as a group on here the better everyone will feel.
I hope your mum and dad work it out, they fell in love for a reason, they just need to remember that:xmastree:Pay all your debt by Xmas 2012:xmastree:

Hi Everybody!
After a monstrous Christmas (food wise!) I feel completely and udderley knackered and rank from all the booze and food. Just weighed myself and I am 11 st 4 lbs. Which is a bit :eek::eek: So i need to lose two kinds of pounds now, the lbs and the £'s!
I will be posting a bit more regular later on this week especially as it's payday on Friday!
Hi Jemma, couldn't leave without sending HUGS. My ma and pa had a huge row a few years ago on boxing day and it wasn't pleasant. Hope they can work it out xxxIn debt no more!0 -
Well its all over now and in one way I am glad - means I can get on with the debt busting and aim for next Christmas. I am not a massive fan of NYE so I will be stopping in - DH will probably be watching the Darts final.
It is so lovely how supportive this thread is - its a real motivator and full of lovely people.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -
Quick question dorsetgirl, any reason that you're not a fan of NYE?
I am as its another time to celebrate with friends (I don't mean by spending loads of money), but I do know people who don't enjoy it but they have neve given me a legitimate reason why.
Just curious:xmastree:Pay all your debt by Xmas 2012:xmastree:

Well we have 4 children in the house so we dont go out - I havent been out for NYE since 2000. I just really dont like the expectation that you should have a great time.
And the telly is always rubbish!Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -
Good Morning Everyone..
I have been feeling really guilty since yesterday cos I bought a tv for £379 in the sales. I paid with cash but know that the money could have gone towards reducing my debt!!!
I don't usually have any spare cash but my family were very generous over xmas and I gave into temptation. I know I could make endless excuses but know I must not let this happen again.
Am off to work soon and will try to do overtime this coming year to make up the money spent on tv. I know it's not the answer but I think this awful guilty feeling will stop me in future!
I feel better just getting it off my chest! I try to read as many posts as possible and do feel encouraged and supported by you all. Thanks# 142 £317/£2700

Please can you add me to the challenge - I am determined to become debt free by the end of the year!
I know I don't have much debt to clear but my and OH are on low income so any debt clearance is a bonus really!
I have £1700 of overdrafts to clear and I'm to including my hire purchase car - that could be the challenge for the following year as only have 2.5 years left on it.
There is no reason why we can't clear this, but need OH on board and that's a challenge!Declutter 2020 - 267/2020 :j

Good morning everyone
Ahhh mf0u so sorry about your carp christmas, I am a firm believer in rows (though they are not pleasant for others to watch) I come from a rowwy family and when things get under our skin they fester away and we get more and more annoyed with the other person until we have the great big all guns blazing row and to be honest it clears the air as somewhere in the middle of all the screaming and occasional swear words is the root to the arguement. Its not nice to row on Christmas day when your with others as it ruins it for all but hopefully it will result in a better relationship between your parents, but even if it results in a separation, this in itself can be a good thing as once you've had companionship constantly in your life, when it goes you realise how much of your life revolved aroud them.
I have been a very good girl yesterday, we went shopping with our christmas money in our pockets, and came home with . . . £30 worth of food shopping from asda and a free tea and cappuchino from Costa :rotfl: DH wants a motherboard for the empty computer tower I gave him for christmas but was stood there going 'I can get that cheaper off ebay pfft' which was a shock as before he would have whipped his card out after sending me off to look at something, bought it and then told me it was £50 cheaper than it was
We are off the other way today to have a look in the shops as I really do need some more clothes, so will see what sainsburys have, plus I need to start getting prizes ready for Lilys birthday party and maybe some presents for her as well
Will check the bank this afternoon as I have a credit card bill :jand will post later if I can pay any money off
