    Good morning everyone,

Regarding Fleabay, I'm sure it was earlier in the thread that the prices drop significantly in January so I wonder if that's the time to look for cheap presents for Christmas 2012 (I'll need to be super organised to maximise debt repayments AND Christmas!) :rotfl: but I suspect if you want better money for your goods then you should maybe wait until February.

    Have a good day everyone

p.s. shattered today after staying up SBing until midnight :o

Totally agree with Sharronj, Ive packed up ebay now till end feb/beginning of march where all my kids summer clothes will go up.

I also sat up till 11:30 last night for free bucks last night :o I didnt manage to get the last 2 codes as my face was really painful, but 6 out of 8 wasnt bad :D

Ive just had a thought! My council tax runs on a 10 month cycle . . . I was naughty and am a month behind BUT thats still a free month where ive got £117 . . . ooo free debt money :j:rotfl:

  • Haha free debt money is the best kind! :D

Iv had a refund through to my bank so paid a bit more off the CC and should be able to fling another tenner at it tonight hopefully... Only three days to go to pay day!!! Sooo happy with how I've done money wise this month-along with finishing paying for Xmas pressies and for a day at a spa for me and OH I've not really spent any money on random junk I don't need so I'm hoping this can carry on to next month-although there are a couple of things I want to treat myself to in the sales:rotfl:
  • Had a massively annoying shock yesterday when I logged into online banking to discover EDF had taken £150 out of my account. And I am in credit slightly with them! Phoned them and they said it was an estimated bill and it will take till next week to get the money put back into my account. Really upset as that was all io had remaining in my overdraft for diesel money and for direct debits coming out. Fuming.
No: 171 of the "Pay all your debt off by Christmas 2012" challenge. Paid off so far :£0,000/ £1,500:o

Please excuse typos, 1) I am using an iPad and don't get on with it 2) I am disabled 3) I'll bite you if you get snarky about it.

OMG I hate it that big companies can do what they like and little people like us always suffer. Yet if WE make a mistake then the consequences are awful. It's sooooo unfair!!!!!:mad::mad:

    I'm sending a big hug :A xxx

I am sooooo impressed that people are still debt busting like mad this close to Christmas!!! :T:T:T

I think it's amazing that we all probably would have just spent this extra money that we've been paying off but instead we've paid probably over £55k before Xmas. WOW!!!

I get paid on Thursday then can hopefully pay a bit more off myself.:D

If it was a direct debit, ring your bank and ask them to do an indemnity claim. You're entitled to a full refund under the direct debit guarantee. The bank will give you the money straight away, and then take it back from EDF in a couple of days. Not sure what EDF's response to that would be, and whether you'd get any charges etc but I bet it would be easier to argue it with them than it would the bank for any charges your other direct debits might cause.
Deleting everything to make sure MoneySupermarket don't get any of my personal details to sell to following Martin's sell out move :money:

OF COURSE!!! *slaps my forehead with my hand*

I've actually done this myself when a DD for old insurance had come out when I'd changed provider. I rang up HBSC and asked for a full and immediate refund. I had a bit of a problem with the guy on the phone as he said it would take a couple of days but the DD guarantee states that you are entitled to a full and IMMEDIATE refund. I made such a fuss at the phone in the bank that the bank manager had to come over and sort it out. I was absolutely skint with nothing left and truly frightened cos this had come out. Ended up getting it sorted though, they actually just increased my overdraft interest free temporarily to cover the value instead of just putting money in my account but it worked out the same.
