RosaBernicia your challenge sounds good, you shouldn't be working too hard. Enjoy the extra time it will give you.

I got out at two minutes past today :rotfl: which is good as if it hadn't been for the challenge I would have stayed to go through other stuff!

I've had a mad panic this morning, thought I had a copy of my insurance certificate as tax is due tomorrow spent 20 mins looking for it this morning only to find I have everything but aaahhhhh! Phoned my insurance company though and they've emailed a copy "phew", so now need to decide on either 12 months or 6 hmmm... I don't want to be taxing my car in June though as that's when MOT and insurance are due, but then again I'm moving house on Saturday eep!

I've moved mine so that it falls 6 months away from the insurance... does make it easier as there's actually time to save for it before it has to be used.

  • Evening everybody!! :D I've started reading the thread at work on my iphone to try and keep up with all the posts in here, so if I'm not posting that's why - it'd take me about an hour to type the thing out :D One day to go til OH gets paid (money for me!!), and then the 1st means bills, bills and more bills for me - boo!!

Went to visit MrT earlier and managed to only grab what I went in for (smoothie and oranges!) - don't want to let the thread down buying loads of junk I don't need :rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

Cant wait to get the ball rolling with this challenge. Every time I read these posts I get excited knowing that this will be the last xmas that I will be debt free
    :j

On Thu will adjust my budgets accordingly and in the New Year will try to do as much overtime as possible to help the cause.

Little thing that I have done is put a list up at work with pictures of treats that I will get /do when im debt free. This reminds me on a daily basis of how good it will feel to clear the debt I have and what im working towards.

Cant wait to have that first beer debt free with my money not the banks:beer:

    GOOD EVENING EVERYONE:)
:j:j:j Only one more sleep till I get paid!!!! :j:j:j
I cannot wait to update my total. I've got my 14th NSD today so last one tomorrow to hit my target for November :T.

My mum and I went through the cupboards and freezer last night and have decided to meal plan but with the added challenge that we can only spend £10 per week on 3 of us topping up on fresh veggies/bread. Hopefully this will mean that our christmas gluttony will be cost neutral as we'll have saved so much in food shopping before then! I think I'm also going to try the PADding challenge...

It's our works christmas do this Saturday and even though I am very lucky in that work are paying for EVERYTHING including, food, drinks and hotel stay in posh hotel, I am not looking forward to it. The office has divided and the atmosphere is horrid at the moment and i can just see the combination of drink and resentment as a prelude to disaster... There are other party rooms in the hotel that I can gate crash though! ;)

Well done on all your debt busting so far :T and hello to the new team members! :j xxx

    Hi everyone!

This thread moves so quickly! Think it's just taken me about an hour to read up on everything that's happened since I was last on!

I seem to have made £30 on ebay which I'm really happy with, but now I can't stop looking at things and thinking "would I actually miss this" :rotfl:

Don't think I'm going to be able to pay anything off my debts properly these next couple of months....get paid tomorrow, and then paid again on the 16th but then don't get any pay until 31st January 2012  It usually means I take payday loans out in January but I'm determined to make it work this year! :)
Deleting everything to make sure MoneySupermarket don't get any of my personal details to sell to following Martin's sell out move :money:

Hi everyone just wanted to say this is the most motivating thing ive done about my debts ever. Really feel energised to get them paid off.

Today I took a top i bought two weeks ago back and got a refund on my credit card and took a pair of jeans back and got a credit note that i'll buy a xmas pressie with, so not a bad day. been really thinking about how little I can spend and have realised that day to day I spend hardly anything ( im on maty leave as prob only spend 3 - 4 days a week max, although earning b*gger all !) but then may splurge. so whenever i think abut spending I think " it might feel good for a minute but how good will I feel when this debt has gone " especially as this debt is stopping me moving house and once its gone I can move to a lovely new house with a big back gar
    den !

Paid a little more this week so new total is £297.15/£6000 £5702.85 left
#28 pay all your debts by Xmas 2019 £2682/7000:)
    #66 2019 MFW £90/£7500
also trying to get 6k savings this year  have this by April . yay :)

Don't worry if you cannot make anyn payments until your payday in January as I'd rather you save the money instead of having to add to your debt by taking out payday loans. You are definitely doing the right thing and shows real forward thinking, well done! :T

Awww no! I hope it doesn't cause a bad atmosphere at the do - things could go the other way and a bit of free booze might get everybody back chatting to each other and being friendly again? *fingers crossed* At the last big party at our place me and a couple of other people left our retirement party (boring) and crashed somebody's 40th becuase they had fancy dress and a dance floor :D Much more fun!!
  • :j:j:j:j Yippee pay day for me today!! Total now £288.74/£5,900.56 so very glad to see the figure going, can't believe how quick the board is moving, finding it hard to keep up as can not access when at work! For some reason its resticted may be to do with with the forum.

Any way I have nearly filled my PPI claim out and placed some items on fleabay:T

Really liking the challange this week, not sure what for as yet but will have a think more than likely be time keeping for work as am on flexi hours and need to build up for extra day off.

    Sorry for the waffle!!
