Sometimes Ebay makes my day :-) DSR's removed!

I just had someone leave me a 1* for P&P for charging actual postage + 5p. Yes, 5p.
For something wrapped in bubble wrap, then put inside a new mailing bag (with a return label and address label). :wall:
in essence one shouldn't get upset about the silly stars people assign, as in many cases buyers probably aren't aware of the repercussions of the stars... it's more a matter of how the thresholds are applied by the bay..0 -
Sounds like you're not getting the Ireland call centre. The other overseas call centres do not seem to have the authority to remove low ratings. I always speak to the Ireland call centre and they do have the authority and have removed low ratings for me on several occasions. Thanks very much! - Unfortunately I didn't take it up with CS immediately after receiving slightly lower DSRs (it is ridiculous anyway - based on 5 lower ratings in one of the categories).. as I had been unaware of the repercussions of DSRs alltogether as it has never affected me before...till I got one of these lovely automated messages...
Having read all the advice on here and other forums I asked CS to be put through to the Trust & Safety team immediately and that's when all the confusion started - as suddenly CSreps & managers started claiming they are also acting on behalf of the Trust & Safety team, however they couldn't do anything about the ratings... it was mentioned though that they could forward the complaint to a higher level T&S-team, which apparently can't be contacted via phone directly.
2 things:
May I ask how you argued your case to get the DSRs removed and whats the best number to call to get directly to Ireland? So far all my calls were usually routed to Manila..
I'm not 100% sure but the Ireland call centre might be reserved for TRS sellers only.0 -

Intend to always get Ireland but I call as soon as they open in the morning or just before they close. Just spoke to eBay Ireland and their line was, unless you do free P&P then you open yourself up to whatever the buyer wants to give. Can't do free P&P on this line though as it's the most competitive one and entirely price driven. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

It's worth a try so have emailed ebay as I got 1 star on dispatch from a buyer who I had to file a NPB to get paid and it spoiled my straight 5 stars.
And this PROVES what I say about sellers not filing Non Paying Bidder reports. Buyers can and DO maliciously leave bad feedback/stars due to a seller filing an NPB.
This is the proof, so no one can deny this now.0 -

Proof of what exactly? That one buyer is a bit malicious- we already know we have flakey buyers. Luckily the vast majority are good and decent.
No one has ever denied that we all got odd buyers, however suggesting that one flakey user means none of us should ever do anything like an NPB and just let buyers walk all over us is sill nonsense.
Only this week (I posted about it on another thread) I have had 3 messages from people blocked from bidding on my auctions as they have strikes, I am extremely grateful for the sellers that gave those strikes as I may well have avoided a rather expensive week otherwise.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
