Is it really Monday morning already?!
Hey ho, another week ahead, can't believe how quickly this weekend has flown by. It'll be Xmas before we know it at this rate!! I must start getting organised.
No big plans this week so hopefully it'll involve lots of sorting, de-cluttering, wedding stuff and normal working. Got to get back to healthy eating, this weekend was spent here there and everywhere so eating on the go not good for the body or indeed the bank balance.
Back to the gym again tonight for my first session of the week, booked in tomorrow and will see what else I can book on and keep up with the exercise. Just a little over five months until the big day so need to keep it up. Ideally would like to be in a happy place by Christmas so that I don't feel the need for any crash dieting. I'm not big by any means 10/12 but really just want to tone up and lose a few more lbs....it can be done.
Best get back to work, long day ahead....0 -
Not sure what has happened to me today, done three loads of washing and managed to get out in the garden during my lunch break and give the lawn one final cut before the winter sets in
On a mision it seems, one final load to be done this evening then it'll be putting it all away before I go to bed. Have gym clas 7-8pm and then it'll be a bit of wedding stuff me thinks before heading off to bed.
Realised have lots of food in too (all in freezer) so need to start meal planning a bit to save us a few more £'s.
Also just joined the Pay all my debt off (or in my case i've signed up to 1/2 my debt) by xmas 2012 challenge. Would mean that i'd only owe 15k (hopefully less!) by the end of next year....wow how amazing would that be...so up for the challenges now. My mindset has changed and it is game on people :rotfl:0 -
Ok, that's me signed up to a few challenges for next year and to help me towards my overall dream of becoming debt free - i'm actually really excited!
I have found a notepad and am not going to research and write down everyones tips and suggestions on how to embark on the true DFW ways of life
I'm thinking PAD's and NSD's are going to be a def fixture. I may even start thinking about braving this ebaying business....not tried it in the past but every penny counts now and it'll all help with getting those totals down.
2012 is sooooooooooo going to be my year:D:D

:mad::mad: car has come in more expensive than we thought. Not going to get work done as it's just not worth throwing any more money at the car....time to replace....not something we envisaged this side of our wedding :mad::mad:0

Another working week passed by and I feel that i've achieved nothing. Full of a horrible cold, one car off road and a very depressing meeting with manager yesterday which to add to it had me travelling a good 3 hours into and across london full of cold and then the same journey back
:(:(
But....not going to let any of it get me down. Positive thinking and all that. Meeting yesterday was a bit doom and gloom, working for public sector obviously involves a lot of cuts being made. Restructures, pay regrading....long and short of it is that eventually my job will no longer exist because the benefits we adminster will no longer exist. The new gov bringing in new ways (as we all know from press) which I totally get but doesn't help me. Soooooo, I really need to start some forward thinking. Hoping all we be ok for 2-3 years or more pending on time scales, changes....lots of things to factor so it's all up in the air but it will happen, just a case of when. So, not only is my debt busting about getting rid but it's also now about preparing for every eventuality and having something in place so that I can survice if things do really go bad.
Oh the joys of todays world.....time for me to do some thinking/planning.....

I have subscribed and wanted to let you know that someone is reading. That’s a bummer about the car especially before the wedding, will you have to borrow money to get another one?
Love the idea of homemade fudge, I am getting good at peppermint creams so maybe its time to expand my ideas.
I too am no good at get debt free by x date but hoping that I can have a few nsd, trying to do the pad challenge and the sealed pot challenge will help.0 -

Hey inthegreen!
Thanks for popping in and reading my random ramblings, this is a great place to off load!
I think every little thing helps towards the end goal - I tend to (sorry used to!) set myself the most unrealistic goals and then wonder why I would go off the rails and feel despondent about it all. Small baby steps all the way eh?!
We're not sure re car, it's a tad frustrating but hey at least we still have the other (although it's seen better days!) the idea was to see both of them out until after the wedding but as per usual life doesn't always play the way you want it too....think it'll be sitting down and looking at things come the Sunday when OH is off work.
Let me know how you get on in expanding to the fudge making0 -
