    (Actually I wonder if this was a regional thing? In case anyone over 35 doesn't know either....it was the fizzy drinks company who are no longer with us. They had a Sunday afternoon round on our estate and Mum would treat us to 2 x 1 litre bottles of pop that had to last us all the week....myself and two siblings plus Mum!)

    It was the "Sykes Pop Wagon" where I'm from. ;)

    That's another thing - paying a deposit on the glass bottle, and taking it back when you'd finished with it. Sure beats modern-day recycling into a cocked hat.

    I reckon if there was a reward for glass, plastic bottles & cans these days, our streets would be rid of litter overnight!

    If I was Prime Minister I'd make that law up! ;)

    my goodness,I am only 24 but this thread made me feel old! lol
    I recognise most of the thigs on here e.g. pop van, (fri nights)duran duran, "oofing" as I get up! lol:rotfl: e.t.c
    I saw some kids I used to babysit in a nightclub I was in a few years ago-that made me feel old!
    taking ds1 to nursery and realising i'm 1 of the "older" parents!:eek:
    I don't recognise any1 in big bro 2 but I don't think it had anything to do with age!:rolleyes:
    oh and actually wanting a drink of tonic water for an upset tummy!
