Oh god I remember them and ford capri's, black sabbath and the moomins. Those were the days - when cartoons were cartoons and music was music!

    Weed grew in everyone's garden
Smack was something you did to your child and

None of my housemates have heard of Morrisey, Gordon the Gopher, Morten Harkett.

And they don't get wht my problem is with Mrs Thatcher. I explain my mum's family were miners and my dad's family were dockers.

"There were miners in the 80's??!"

  • I remember the pop man...every Friday teatime me and my brother would be in the front street waiting for him! Two bottles of pop and that had to last the week!

I just thought of another one as well.....my 8 year old can't beleive that we only ever had cartoons on a Saturday morning!

And by the way everyone, Duran Duran are still going strong! THere, I've outed myself as a huuuuuuuuuge Duranie!

I've got a vague recollection of the rag and bone man. When I told my kids about him they thought he was employed by e-bay!

The corona man - yes, we had one, and a meat man, and a fruit and veg man, and a rag and bone man.

Hey - there's no shame in being a Durannie!
