  • I hit a birthday last week. It fills me with a great deal of awe to realise that since I was born I've been around the sun 33 times, travelling a total of JUST OVER 19 AND A QUARTER BILLION MILES(!!!) at a speed of around 66,000 miles per hour

However none of this takes away the depression of just spotting my first grey nose-hair.

Wait til you spot your first grey pubic hair:eek:

Knowing I am going to become a grandma in 4 months time, I'm only 41, I'm too young to be a granny :(

Poor DH doesn't know how he is going to cope with being called grampy at the grand old age of 32 :D

  • I feel old because in 1991 when I was doing my training in the reception class at the age of 18 with all the little 5 year olds my future looked bright and all these little people called me miss. Now some of them have kids older than mine and that makes me feel really old and I am only 33:mad:

The fact that I have friends who I consider equals, who were born in 1990.

Oh - and I had my first "double take at a policeman looking really young" a couple of weeks ago.

Plus my little brother turned 21 a couple of months ago which made me feel ancient as I was present at his birth and remember it in quite some detail.

However, seven-day-weekend - not recognising the celebs in Celeb BB is NOT a sign of age. It's a indictment of the standard of casting in Celeb BB :D

    Edit: P.S. I'm 28

I think that music is the real clincher for me. There are those tracks that represent 'significant' moments in your life - especially when you are around 15/16. For me that was in 1985/86.

When you hear those songs are realise that that was 21/22 years ago - where has time gone?

I'm sure that there are grey hairs - tell everyone that it is just blonde highlights though. But in my head I'm still only in my early 20's tops. Anyone else the same?
