Wish I'd seen all these comments before I'd ordered from Winkbox for my Christmas DVD's In future it'll be Amazon or a visit to town! How easily we're taken in by these "bona fide"companies

Hi Thank you all as stupid me has been expecting it anytime soon! I have been also wasting my time emailing chasing my order made on 8th December. I have now logged a claim with PayPal which are being really helpful. I am however really shocked, 1: that Paypal have done business with such a dodgy company to to begin with and 2: That I found this link through searching on Amazon. I for one am more scared of shopping online than ever! I never shop online and am frequently told by my husband that as long as you buy through PayPal you'll be ok........Clearly wrong eh!

Lets just hope we will get our money!

I also ordered on the 4th December, to date nothing has arrived. I have sent them numerous emails. No reply. Surprise surprise looks like they have closed the website down now. Really annoyed as it had a co.uk address thought it was for real. Hard lesson learned!!!!

Myself and my mother were also drawn in by winkbox. We found the link on Amazon so we asumed it was a genuine site. We recieved an e-mail from them confirming the order and saying it would be delievered in 2-3 weeks. We sent them several e-mail but we also didn't get any replys from them. :mad:
If you ever find this website GET OFF IT as fast as you can. DON'T get drawn in by the cheap prices!!!!!

Glad to hear folk have been refunded by PayPal, but I'm getting the runaround from them. On complaining about the Disney DVD I purchased from wedelights.co.uk they told me I had to get a DVD retailer to certify that it was a fake, with written confirmation on headed paper. I tried the Disney Store, HMV and Fopp and none would do it - they "can't do that at local level - you'll have to speak to head office". I then went to Trading Standards who could only do a "we suspect it's a fake" email, which PayPal have rejected as not being enough. Trading Standards can send the DVD to Disney's "Brand Protection" people, but this will likely exceed the time Paypal are allowing for a response. I'm beginning to get really annoyed!:mad:

All three sites including wedelights have now been taken down. Given the volume of complaints they've received, Paypal must be aware of this. Contact Paypal again with a link to wedelight's Domain Registration showing the site has been suspended.

i was getting the run around from paypal too and they closed my case saying i was not getting a refund so i went through their complaints section saying it was unfair and that paypal was meant to protect buyers from scammers like these and i told them about this forum and that others have had refunds for not having to return DVD's or have them confirmed they were fake. they replied with an email i had to print out sign to say i had destroyed DVD's and fax it back to them. i have now had my refund.
so i would say just keep pushing them!
