Paypal told me i needed to send the dvds back, but i complained to them about having to send fake products to Thailand. They have now told me to destroy and discard of the dvds and fax them a form they have provided me with,to say they have been destroyed to take the case further.0

I actually received my dvd's today which was quite quick to be honest but they are deffenately not genuine. i have not took the cellophane of to see if they play or not. i have changed my claim on paypal and am now just awaiting there response. i have a good mind to take them to the police station!!!!0

Even though I tried to find out how legitimate winkbox was before ordering, I found nothing as they were a new site, I still ignored the tell tale signs of no address and ordered the Cinderella DVD which I now know, will probably never arrive. I've read the majority of the comments in this thread and felt that all angles had been covered by all those that had contributed.
Until.... I discovered that a new website has popped up called wedelights.co.uk. It is absolutely identical in every way to winkbox.co.uk except the contact email address is now wedelight2012@aol.co.uk; not that the email address matters as nobody answers anyway. Avoid these sites like the plague!
I have contacted the credit card company I used to pay for the DVD who assure me that after 30 days they would reimburse me after following appropriate procedures if seller does not reply to me. It's always worth paying with credit card as there is usually buyer's protection.0 -
Hi all,
Yes its a scam.
Luckily i only paid out £10.00 and have just had that refunded via Paypal.
We all say we would never get sucked in but we do.
Merry Christmas everyone - hope you all get your refunds.0 -
Woo hoo!! Just got all my money back from PayPal too. Result :-)0

When I tried to log back in to the website with the e-mail account and password it said my mail account did not exist. I sent an e-mail to the address on the site winkboxshop@aol.co.uk, surprise surprise no response, then I forwarded it to the e-mail address on the paypal payment disneyland1975@hotmail.com, still no response. When I raised a dispute with paypal (payment went to account name SUNET AIYAKA) I also got the message a previous poster has mentioned that an immediate dispute would be raised. I also have to wait until 26 December for a resolution, but now feel as other people have said, why doesn't paypal put a stop on them??
I have never been caught by a scammer before so I am evil that Christmas fever made me less cautious than I usually am. Can anyone advise who we can raise alarm bells with and get them closed down as I feel really annoyed about it, even though this is a relatively small amount of money for me (£10.94) I just hate people ripping us off.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I got a full refund via paypal, I am almost glad the goods never actually turned up. I have learned a lesson in being more cautious in future. Just wish we could do more to get them prosecuted or something !!0 -
I have just had this email from paypal - result. I hope everyone else gets refunded too.
We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favour.
We were able to recover 10.94 GBP, and this amount has been credited to
you. Please allow five working days for this adjustment to be posted.0 -
Just been told i am being fully refunded by paypal and i didn't have to send the dvds back, just had to destroy and discard of them and send a form to paypal saying i had done so. To anyone who receives the dvds and is asked to send them back, just tell paypal you refuse to return counterfeit goods and they will ask you to destroy them instead and you will receive a full refund without having to pay for postage costs of returning them! Hope this helps, good luck to anyone with ongoing cases!!0

I also bought some dvd's from the same website. They arrived from Thailand and are fake. I spent £40 on 4 dvd's from this guy. I have left them in their cellophane and won't be giving them to my daughter - I haven't even told her about them. I have spoke to paypal who are happy to refund me but I have to get them authenticated first. I am waiting till my local trading standards officers are back in their office and I will hopefully get them authenticated by them or FACT and then I will be given a full refund. I have spoken to and emailed a lot of people about this - I spoke to Disney uk yesterday and it seems that there's not a lot they can do. If you put into google - cinderella dvd, little mermaid dvd - the first website that comes up in the whole list is the fake dvd website - Surely, there must be something that somebody can do to stop these people?!!0

I too have been scammed after ordering a Disney DVD via Winkbox, my money was taken but goods never arrived. It is currently being treated as a n 'escalated claim' by Paypal. Has anyone ever received money back from Paypal in this situation?0
