Instead the friends I do have round here think I am the local 'odd ball' but good for a laugh! Nice.
And did I miss something who's Robert??
p.s my hubby is going away today so i expect the only conversation i shall have this week is with a 2 yr old, 3 yr old & 13 yr old. God help me now!
I will talk to you !! My hubby is away as well .....lets talk about 2yr old, 3yr olds and 13yr olds !!! :rotfl:
I'm not sure I am the local oddball, but I am the one who always makes everyone else feel better, lives a charmed life and is always laughing and smiling and apparently can deal with anything and everything !! Aw thank you lovelies
Unfortunately I wish my OH was as enthusiastic about humouring me as you all were, I feel like crying again but I'm not going to. I just started on a rather enthusistic speel about how I'm going to do a craft fair next month, and I'm going to make this, and make that, then realised he wasn't even paying attention to me he was tapping away at his computer not listening to a word I was saying. So I told him it'd be nice if he showed some interest in things I'm enthusiastic about, especially as I don't have very much else to talk about. To this he decided to tell me I should only really talk to him about things we both have in common and that I should go out and meet some women to talk to about sewing. *sigh* Then I moved the conversation on, then he's the one turning round telling me I should go out and meet women with similar interests to me bringing the conversation back round to what he's just told me I can't talk about where's the angry smiley???:mad::mad:
I'm starting to think that moving to Cardiff at the end of the year is a bad idea, he doesn't seem bothered where I live and shows no interest in living with me, so why should I move 150 miles and have to commute further to customers. I know I'm hyper-sensitive at the moment, but I didn't need him being like that this evening

rant away hun (my gosh you should see my ranting today makes yours seem like small fry lol) last yr (or maybe yr before actually) when dh was away for 6 months i took up sewing and got my first sewing machine and taught myself and really got into it. I made over 100 sock monkeys and they paid for xmas....everytime i tried to speak to dh about it though he really wasn't interested and made me feel a fool really. I snapped one day and after that he acted a bit better and even asked each time he called

We're not humouring you. We mean it.I feel like crying again but I'm not going to. At this point you slide in the words "...and the milkman gave me a good stiff roger this morning..." and see if the penny drops. So I told him it'd be nice if he showed some interest in things I'm enthusiastic about, especially as I don't have very much else to talk about. To this he decided to tell me I should only really talk to him about things we both have in common
What?!
Talk about *narrow* minded. I love hearing about *all* sorts of stuff, and so should he. How do you know you're interested, if you don't know about it?
Even if it's something you never do, sometimes stuff is just interesting. I learned about paradiddles on DFW. Chances of me doing one: Zero.and that I should go out and meet some women to talk to about sewing.
*sigh*
That must have been so deep, you'll have passed out...Then I moved the conversation on, then he's the one turning round telling me I should go out and meet women with similar interests to me bringing the conversation back round to what he's just told me I can't talk about where's the angry smiley???:mad::mad:I'm starting to think that moving to Cardiff at the end of the year is a bad idea, he doesn't seem bothered where I live and shows no interest in living with me, so why should I move 150 miles and have to commute further to customers. You need to ask yourself - is this a one-off aberation, or is it just a progression of something that has been there for a while.
It may just be an evening when he's being a cock.Sorry to rant everyone xx

OH and I had an hour long chat, mostly about how I'm feeling lonely and also that I need to meet some women that have similar interests. So next Tuesday I'm off to the WI sewing and knitting group up at Alexandra Palace armed with my £3 to see if it's the type of thing I could join in on. I don't know how to knit, so I might get myself some knitting needles and see if someone will teach me. Otherwise I'll make sure I take along some sewing that I can do, or even some crochet.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone, I having a right old low patch at the moment aren't I. OH is back in 11 weeks, but this is something I need to sort out in the long-term, as he's feeling a bit pressured that he's sometimes the only person I speak to all day.
I've done some more of my quilt this evening which has cheered me up, it looks like it's going to be huge eep! Will definitely keep us warm in winter then. Oh and I realised that the cotton I've chosen for the backing is 320 thread countthat will go nicely with the lovely 400 thread count cotton sheets then
Quilt day two (I've not sewn the rows together yet, just placed them so I can see what it's going to look like and make sure the leaves go in the correct direction):Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
