the Swedish lamps. They were the only ones I could find that had a proper on/off pull instead of one of those switches that I somehow always have to scrabble down the back of the bedside table for. I need to go back and look for replacement shades though as they are quite old now and the inner shades cracked during the move.

If your neck is causing you problems regularly, you might be interested to know that there's a training clinic for the osteopathy school in London (you want the BSO one really near Borough station, they are a reputable school) - it's much cheaper as you get treated by a 3rd/ 4th year student supervised by a qualified practitioner. I haven't been in years, but they were really good when I went.

Hello Mrs F :) I've been contemplating making rice packs for my neck, they're really easy and all you do is whack them in the microwave to warm them up then put them on the dodgy area. Although I don't think I have any rice at the moment to be able to make one grr.

Rosa, thanks I shall investigate there's a chiro up the road that charges £50 for a first session which is a bit much!!! I think what I need to do is spend less time sat in bed on my laptop and more time sat at my desk on my laptop, that way I won't be straining my neck, but I will never learn :p

In fact, I'm going to go and see how much rice I have, if I have enough I'm going to make a rice bag with some lavender petals thrown in, that'll defo help my neck!

Hmm as a concept it's rather good, but given that I only had brown rice to hand, it smells a little funny however it is now soothing my neck nicely. You lot are wonderful :)

I would need to get the quantities correct in that case as would need to provide instructions to prevent burns, but definitely a winner :) I wouldn't use rice though, more likely wheat or bulgar wheat as I have a big sack of that here :)

My neck is improving already :) think the muscles just needed some heat xx

Sounds like a plan. I do think they're lovely as Christmas gifts, since they're such a treat when you have one but not the kind of thing people think of to buy for themselves iyswim. And they're much better at staying on necks etc than hot water bottles are.

I might have to go and get mine now :)

The Rice Bag looks great, I use them on my neck and they are really effective, as they stay on uch easier and you can still wander around the house . I agree they could be a contender for the Craft Fair as well !

Quick Tip if I may, when you heat it in the microwave, pop a cup of water in alongside it. The water hydrates the rice as it warms , I believe and stops it from drying out and burning x

Thats really interesting Rosa about the Osteopathy school, I might actually look into that myself ! Thankyou .

    Hi Kerri

Hope the neck is on the mend, just catching up after not being around for a day or so.

The lamps look great as does the rice pack, hope it helped.

Did you get to your parents? Have a good time when you do.

    Take care

Wow I have been AWOL haven't I. No debt repayment to report unfortunately and only one NSD since Friday. But I did have a lovely time with my little nephew this weekend and was great spending time with my sister. I've also decided on the name for my online shop, and I've ordered business cards, logo design, and url. I'm currently setting up the website using an e-commerce shop package.

Yesterday I made a gym bag for my nephew and will photograph this and put onto the shop as I have more fabric available. I also used the glue gun on my coin purse but I'm not convinced it's going to hold that way, so I think I shall have a scout about for some sew in purse frames and maybe have a go at crimping the edges to keep it closed.

I'm not buying anymore fabric until I've used up the stash that I currently have. I've also sent off my booking form for the craft market next month :D so now I definitely need to make lots of lovely things.

I'm definitely more upbeat at the moment as well, I think last week was a particularly low week for me :( but I'm starting to feel like my old self again now. I went to the WI knitting subgroup last night and the ladies, although confused about how I found them, were very welcoming and had made some really lovely items. They're doing a stall outside the local supermarket on Saturday so I shall pop down to see what they are selling on my way to look round the craft fair in preparation for next month. They taught me to knit and I've found I don't like knitting with acrylic, so when I got home I started knitting with some lovely bamboo yarn and have done several rows for my first pair of baby booties :) Although I can't remember how many rows so I need to start again, oops! My knitting is very neat and tidy though, so hopefully I should be able to sell these as well.

I need to be making 1 or 2 items every day to be able to have enough to take to the craft fair with me next month. So I best light a fire under my bottom and crack on with them :) Hope everyone's well, they still haven't solved who's on heart and it's really, really annoying me now!
