Well I've just got back to London and setup my shelves for my "shop" which is what I'm calling my stockpile. It currently consists of museli, pasta, tinned toms, fairy liquid, tomato puree, baked beans, bicarb, loo roll and fabric conditioner. Oh and a massive bag of plastic bottles for making into cloches, 3 lemons, 1 lot of spaghetti and a bottle of amaretto. Not your normal shop I guess, but there's some more stuff I need to put on there.
I got back to London to find my housemates dogs have been into my room, eaten the pizza I forgot to put in the dustbin, and eaten a massive box of chocolates that my housemate brought me back from Paris. I was quite annoyed at the chocolates, but the pizza served me right. OH has said we'll fit a bolt to the outside of my bedroom door when he comes up next week that way there's no reason why the dogs should be in my room as unless my housemate is getting her clothes out of our shared wardrobe, the door should be bolted
I've done something a little unconventional this evening. I've finally decided to try the no-poo shampoo method. This involves using 1 tablespoon bicarb to 1 cup water. You then massage this into your scalp to get rid of any dirt/oil. Then you rinse this off before pouring the juice of a lemon over your hair and combing through. Unfortunately I forgot the comb, I also forgot to sieve the lemon juice so I ended up with pulp all in my hair. Anyway, the result... I have part-dried my hair with a hairdryer and it feels 100 times dryer than usual, so I've left it to dry natuarally for the rest. The ends are feeling very, very wavy eep and quite frizzy too. The roots are starting to feel normal though, so I shall give a proper update of how it turns out following a go with the straighteners tomorrow.
My whole reason for no-poo is that my shampoo tastes has become more and more expensive, and the greasiness of my hair has also increased with my taste in shampoo. I seem unable to downgrade as it puts me in an even worse position. So I researched alternatives and found the our shampoos contain similar stuff to degreaser... I wouldn't put stuff from the kitchen on my hair now would I??? Also, there's the cost implication, bicarb and a few lemons are cheapo! Also, as you continue on the no-poo method you can start to just use water if you like, although I think I'll always go with the bicarb as I know it gets rid of dirt. I really want to get rid of the plastics in my hair that are making my hair produce more and more natural oil. Our hair is meant to have these oils, however conventional shampoos strip them away when they clean. So this is why I'm stood in the shower with a lemon juicer, a glass of bicarb solution and going "eep that's freeeezing" when I pour the cold stuff over my head!
Debtwise, well a few things have sold on fleabay so as soon as they're in paypal I shall transfer the money to freemans. I need to sort that out actually, my spreadsheet says I've paid off more than they say I have paid off, which can't be right as my spreadsheet is accurate...or so I think???

wow yr good with the ''poo'' thing lol
definetly be interesting to see how that goes..
I swear by Paul mitchell teetree shampoo.. its amazing and is gentle enought to be used as face and body wash.. its great on delicate skin, and skin conditions. It is epensive but i buy the massive salon pump size for £25.00 and it defiently lasts the year or more x0 -
Ok so not entirely sure I did the bicarb/lemon juice correctly last night as although my hair isn't greasy anymore, it does feel like it's covered in some sort of residue...you can't tell from looking at it though only touch. I shall persevere and try again this evening, maybe making a paste with the bicarb this time and using a comb to draw it from roots to ends.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Serves me right for going AWOL for a few days again ! Last week I read your diary and I hear all about the knicker man, now I log in and discover I missed the new baby announcement. Congrats Kerri on becoming an Auntie again !:j
Your descrpition of you in the shower really made me laugh ! So did you decide against the Apple Cider Vinegar then, or did I completely get the wrong end of the stick and you wanted that for something else ? It will be interesting how you get on and if you can persevere with the experiment. I dont hink I would be able to tbh !
Oh and superscrimpers, dont get me started ! Those legwarmers......... seriously ? :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Awww Kerri your nephew is super cute! People seem to be having kids left right and center at the mo!
I will try that no poo stuff but I am liking the Tea Tree stuff too... that sounds good! xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -
Ooh I used to use tea tree all the time in school as it kept the bugs away
it smells superb as well. I'm going to keep on with the bicarb and lemon, I think my hair is going to take some time to get used to the lack of silicones from the shampoo as it's been coated in the stuff for years. I am incredibly fed up of how greasy it gets by day 2 though when I use the expensive gloop.
Pinot slap on wrist you miss so muchI'm going to give lemon juice a go for now, as I have some and don't want to shell out £14 for apple cider vinegar if the bicarb isn't going to work (I already have bicarb in stock). Also the lemon juice brings out highlights better and I have some fab natural ones hidden away, so will be interesting to see if they reappear.
Ooh baby has a name now! Theodore AnthonyOr if you're 2yo Lucas, baby ee-O

Love it! Love when kids can't say their siblings names! One of my friends sister still calls him Horn because when he was a kid she couldn't say Sean.
ooh also, played gala bingo... won nothing. not a sausage. How long does it take to track?! xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -
My DS1 couldnt say my sisters name, so called her a rather unortunate sounding nickname instead which sort of rhymed with her real name. The problem is it makes her sound like a raging alcoholic ! 14 years later its still going strong causing my poor sister much embarrassment as everyone uses it now
. I cant tell anyone what it is though, as my cover could be blown wide open !:)

Mahoosive triumph for me
Just had a cold call from a payday loans company, before they could even start with their sales patter I turned round and told them I was at work, didn't want a loan from them, and could they remove me from their database
In the past I've let them call me back later and convince me to take a loan out with them... however this is the 2012 Kerri, the debt busting Kerri, the wiser yet still batty Kerri, and she says a big fat NO!!! to payday loans*does a happy dance*
I'm just over £3k in debt now, when I started in October I was over £5k, that's such an unbelievable achievement even taking into consideration my living expenses have increased by over £400pcm. Although had I done this last year instead of this year I'd probably be debt free and living the high life... however no more high life either my eyes are wide open to the medias temptations and brain washing, if only I could kick the chocolate...Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
