    AN ODE TO SLOWLYFADING!:)

Our "sister", slowlyfading, is a blushing bride to be
And our thoughts and prayers are with you, with much joviality

May your wedding day be perfect, with you the blushing bride
And the groom, who's Mr Fading, be resplendent by your side

Now the avenue of marriage is a very rocky road
So whilst you're on your honeymoon, please read your Highway Code!

When your marriage comes to crossroads, be strong and never weak,
Cos the best rule for your journey is to think, before you speak! ;)

Don't shout and lose your temper, though the urge is very great
But count to ten, then count again, then smile and kiss your mate

You know that you are in the right, but a better move by far
Is to let him think that's he's correct, when driving in life's car!

The twists and turns of marriage are a challenge for a wife
But love and joy will flourish, in your sweet contented life

So have a lovely wedding day, we hope the weather's fine
Goodbye to slowlyfading and hallo to supershine!!

Wishing you every happiness in the world.

    xx

    Och budget derriere up again...

Bought a new shoulder bag (gorgeous) from ebay at weekend....fine but like too small and now the girl is away for 10 days...so 0 refund...

Also nothing shifting on ebay...Might take them down and list next Saturday......when folk have more monies....

Anyhow bought the beloved e-cig I wanted as the other one was dead (and I mean dead)..so total whoopsie just over £60

Don't think my wee £100 on PAD (payment a day) is somehow going to cover things. If (and it is an if) I can stick to budget this week (£30 for food) then all should be okay...but £8 of that has already gone on e-cig flavourings.....

    Hi all!
I haven't been on here for ages! I'm still following the frugal way of life, and liking it!
I've just made a batch of blueberry cupcakes for puddings and snacks (for walking home from work- i'm always ravenous! haha, and this will hopefully save me from heading to the shop). I've already started to take a different route home and stopped taking my purse to work!
I think I will freeze most of them, and take out one/two/three a day.

Aldi blueberries btw- not the cheapest I've seen them, but still far better than the 2 for £4 or whatever it is now in MrT. I haven't set foot in there for weeks! :j and what a difference in my shopping bill!!

I think I will start to bake more often, have most of the ingredients in the cupboard anyway, bar eggs and butter, and try and use a different fruit or addition each time.
Orange cupcakes anyone? I don't know if that would work? I'm not the best baker in the world, and often adjust recipes to my own liking! but I do really enjoy it!

On the work front, I was offered my old Christmas temp job back, and have a 2nd job mucking out some horses, every little helps. This has really helped ebb away at the darned OD. It's now sitting just below £300 (It had crept up to £400 in Jan) and with payday on Friday, I'm hoping to pay another £50 towards it. Ok, I know this isn't a lot, but I need it gone for my peace of mind. :)

Also, got some items on ebay this week, hoping some of these will pay my Apr phone bill, and hopefully a bit extra.

Anyway, enough of the waffle, hope everyone is enjoying the fantastic weather.

the job hunt has begun

In fact I have a I have a job interview in a wee while with a local flower wholesaler. Just round the corner doing admin (not near any shops fortunately :D). Pray I get it . Just 20 hours a week 9.15-1.15 mon - fri......

    Sooooooo nervous....

I've kind of been up like since before dawn LOL.....

And I need more cod liver...

If I get it I shall be about £80 a week better off . Just for the 1st year then £40 a week better off (pending the DLA not being stopped). This is after paying rent and council tax .. Yeah bring on the skinny budget and get get get that house

So yeah just finished off my throw for like the leather chair I got from downstairs months ago. I got the throw from the charit shop but i wasn't big enough so I made it bigger. Looks fine. Just have to sort out the throw for the sofa now LOL...it's a mess

    E
PS. If I do get it I won't get any monies for about a month as like I lose my benefits straight away so do I go into my 'only to be touched in absolute sos' fund (NI) or like use the overdraft? I'm just thinking and would rather use savings than anything else as that means less interest. Should be enough for the month....E

@ Erme - good luck for job interview
@ slowly - all the beat for the weekend!! Love every moment!

    Hi all

I'm still trying to adapt to the frugal way of living. I've cut down in all areas possible but I'm still struggling!

I'm hoping that with the longer days and warmer wether that'll assist with keeping the bills down! I do really well with food and household purchases.

    Hope everyone's well
