Welshpoppy - If you cant find a code for the IoW ferry have a look at the Red Funnel website. Although the journey is longer down Southampton Water they are usually much cheaper than Wightlink. They are also much more generous with passengers in the vehicle & the vehicle lengths.

Thanks for that we have always travelled with Red Funnel but always had a code so only paid £36.00 return anyway I found a leaflet they sent and got the red funnel for £43.00 so we are well happy with that and we go again in September .

Hope everyone is doing okay :) I'm still busy doing wedding prep and sorting out what seems like a million and one things, whilst trying to remain calm at the same time....! I can't believe I get married in 9 days - single figures!

Hello everyone sorry I have been missing in action for a while and haven't caught up with the thread - not sure I'll manage to so I hope everyone has been keeping ok.

I've been very busy - did the second part of my presentation on Monday and it went brilliantly and also did a mental health first aid course and have now applied to train so that I can deliver that myself.

I've been very frugal apart from buying a mad walking elephant balloon for the girlie to celebrate her getting to A's in her resits so she has four As so far - not sure if I mentioned that?

The spending diary though has gone completely out the window - may start again in April!

    You'll have a fabulous time :) x

Sandra so pleased all went well with your special treat. Sounds like it was amazing. You deserved it :) x

Well a bit of an update on my poorly toe. Went to the docs last week and he thinks it's to do with my tendons and if the painkillers don't work I may have to have an x ray to see if I've broken any of the little bones under the ball of my foot. Well it's still painful so looks like an xray is needed. Ah well. Aside from that I've been busy with this and that.
Hope everyone is enjoying this glorious weather.

I read every day although I rarely post. Budget going well spending wise but savings have taken a hammering due to helping family. At nearly the end of the first quarter of the year all the budget forecasts are on track. I have a spreadsheet which shows all d/d's food and personal spending. It also shows how much is transferred to the savings account each month. At the bottom of the spreadsheet I havve the balance of the savings account shown followed by any in and outs and what it was for. ie. holidays, Christmas, larger household purchases and helping family. Although I will finish up the year with less savings than forecast it is still looking pretty good. (fingers crossed).
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
