Gosh, I have obviously been out of touch as I have missed out on these wombling etc and roadkill receipts. Haha.
I shall become a conciensous litter picker I think.

wow!! this is moving fast this year!! think i need to take a day to catch up!!!! well i have had a very eventful year again!!! and now started another lot of treatment as the first hasnt worked!! the government has messed up my career by moving the goal posts again and we seem to very very poor at end of every month!!!! So i think its back to basics!! need to get back on to saving money - its my fault was doing so well last year until summer then got distracted by struggling with my tumour again and it was easier just to spend money instead of thinking about things and doing it cheaper!!! but i am feeling well enough again now to get back on it!!!!!

i have missed you all!! How is everyone? what have i missed?
Frugal living challenge - need to revisit its been.a while !! Need to reduce our debts!!

Just to let you all know we took Marmalade on her final journey this evening - it was time.

    RIP Little Minky.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,

Oh Ruby I haven't the words to make you feel better. As someone said last year you chose to suffer so they didn't have to any longer xxx

    Big hugs

I have given her her own send off thread in the Arms as she really was a miracle cat.

Some of you may remember she was initially only given a week or two to live but lived for nearly another year with the vets very happy with her progress.

    It's just devastating isn't it.

I remember that - it was Sandra and sums it up so well.

  • Hi Purple

I'm up to speed with roadkill and carpark kill and using vouchers but how does wombling receipts work?

    Clearly I am still a novice!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Any receipts, whether your own or some you 'tidied up' from the car park / abandoned trolley / floor, can have the details entered on https://www.tesco.com/pricecheck and if the TOTAL of exact comparisons would have been cheaper at Asda, Mr T will issue a coupon for the difference, up to a maximum of £20.

Also, when wombling, look out for coupons with 'Sign up for Clubcard' on them. You can take them to Customer Service, even at a different branch, and get the unclaimed points added to your own Clubcard. Nothing illegal, just limited to two receipts at a time, though occasionally they'll allow three small ones... lads buying beer or console games rarely have Clubcards and often chuck the receipts on the floor, leaving 20 points or more to be rescued! The store doesn't care who they go to.

    RIP Little Minky.

What sad news, treasure the happy memories and cry all you need.

We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment
