  • Thank you everyone.

The tears have started flowing again this morning.

When I am fortified with tea we will have her funeral service as she will be buried in the garden. xxx

((hugs)) ruby - I am thinking of you x

I have loved so many pets and it doesn't get any easier when the time comes to say goodbye but your beautiful cat will always live on in your memories.
  • Hi all

Ruby - hugs from me as well

SavvyJade - yes milk freezes fine. I find skimmed is best, and that f/fat needs a regular shake to mix in the fat/cream once defrosting/defrosted (still usable - the family moaned if they saw me defrost it, but didn't complain as much if they didn't ;) ).

    Hi All

I've been missing since 12.2. I decided that £40 a month to that nice Sir Richard was too much and gave an order to go with bt. Since then we've had one delay after the other. It should have all been completed on the 6.2 but it still isn't working. They keep on cancelling and delaying. :wall: Fingers crossed it should be up and running tomorrow (but I'm not holding my breath  ). We're piggybacking on next door's broadband ;) - with their permission - and my computer usually won't play pretty.

But it is saving us money :rotfl:

Hope everyone is being totally frugalistic and happy with it. I'll be back when I can

:grouphug: to those in need. :hello: for now

  • Hi all,
It's never easy to say goodbye to our pets. I do sympathise Ruby.

I've had a little bit of progress on the frugal front. DS is eating the BM bread quite happily now and DH actually enjoyed some apple and oat muffins and some banana bread that I made with the sorry remains in the fruit bowl yesterday. He's refused to try them before.
A**i shop yesterday with a £5 voucher off £30 and I've got a Mr T £5 off £40 to use before this weekend along with some money off coupons given in their current price check leaflet. That should take care of us right up until the end of next week with a bit of meal planning.
On a lighter note, I've had to find out the cost of a male stripper for DD1's hen weekend in Majorca. Based on the fact that we might just get what we pay, for I've suggested an increase in budget.

  • MTTS - congrats on the temp contract - hopefully it'll tide you over the difficult period.

Ruby ....... (((hugs))) hun, it's really the most awful thing to lose a beloved pet - Marmalade really did amazingly well to have outlived all predictions and enjoyed life to the end, which is what we can all only wish for xx

    Thank you again everyone.

I went for a lovely walk today with my walking group round a Victorian cemetery and nature reserve.

I saw loads of robins and the most beautiful blossoms - not sure what they were - a companion thought they may be black thorn.

That helped lift my spirits for a bit.

I treated myself to a mini charity shop spend and bought some onion sets and orchid lily bulbs from the pound shop.

Fortunately remembered my £5 off a £15 spend in Mr T at the last minute.
