Well done MTTS on the contract thingy and glad I was able to help a little on the JTD/DTD stuff at T's. Carry on with the vouchers/mocs - it is soo worth it and should save you lots of pennies. My personal thing is to go to a young bored looking male cashier as they don't usually cause problems when putting vouchers through. The ones I avoid like the plague are the older female ones (trouts) who seem to think that they are solely responsible for saving T's etc some money.:D
Tea and tiramisu cake for me please:j0 -
I think I'm too late for coffee so will be around after lunch sometime. Have managed to get an appointment at the choropodists this afternoon so will see you all afterwards. CW18 looking forward to meeting you as we have similar professional backgrounds and would probably have a lot to talk about. Of course SS you will be there won't you?
Actually I have been thinking about a real physical meeting......not the virtual sort..... and wondered if perhaps a few who live near/ish Bury St Edmunds might meet for coffee/lunch some, I'm sure it can't be against MSE rules. What do you think?
Erme that website about Kenwoods was useful, thanks you. I think that the mixer they showed would have sounded better if it had food in the bowl. I was amused that you were trying to mash potatoes in it I have never done that, to much washing up afterwards and I'm assuming it was just for you, so would have thought it would not make a good job of it.
Hope all OK am off to Mr Te*** in about an hour so I can shop and attend appointment in one journey. I'm only five miles from the shops but its just not frugal to go in whenever I want, anyway we have a bus on Tues and Thurs ( lucky us)
Have a good frugal day all. XKeep to £400 a month on C/C.

Hmmm - not one of the best starts to the week:
Woke up this morning expecting the smell of fresh bread from the BM - after deep inhalation realised it wasnt bread but the smell of BiLs dog having been "ill" on the hall carpet! Two soft pancakes soaking in... (TMI?!) BiL has MS so couldnt possibly clean up:mad:
After a good disinfect went to unload the breadmaker and managed to break the clip that holds the pan in place:mad:
Then realised I've lost my works blackberry:eek:
and have started with a cold.....:(
BUT
DS got himself up and went off to college without a moan,:j
Have 3 watchers on the ebay stuff I listed yesterday for free,:D
HM chicken stew in the slow cooker for lunch,:T
Pasta bake (spinach and tomato and cheese) for tea,:)
am still on track with GC for February (just!):rotfl:
and had a big hug from DH :blushing:
so things not so bad after all:p
Hope you all have a brilliantly frugal week (I'm determined not to let payday give me a sense of being rich!):DDFWNerd 1417

efc - kept meaning to mention to you as you do all the marmalde and baking, would it be viable for you to get a home delivery from T's or A's so that you wouldn't have to carry the heavy stuff on the bus? Or Approved foods who do a lot of dry goods - the cost savings might out weigh the delivery charges although I think I read somewhere that newbies have a postage free offer. Hope I wasn't dreaming it.
Lovely idea about the actual meet up btw - wish I was nearer:)0 -

I like the description of the staff above, made me smileand yes, you are right, the oldies are more.... aggrevied, maybe some one should tell them its only a voucher not the end of the world...
Not been around for a few days been busy with various bits n bobs, sorry. We went shopping in Mr S on Saturday and on the deli counter DH haggled with the girl about the price of the ham and got a chunk £1.90 with a £3.00 discount! Well done him I say. Then I had a LBM why do I spend £3-4 per week on ham for sarnies when I can buy a gammon joint for that and slice it myself... DOH!! and it will last for 2 weeks, maybe longer. do I feel thick or what??
Anyway, last year I made my first batch of chutney and it has been a hit and I have instructions to make more, which I will do, and also make some jam. Haven't made jam for a number of years so it will be good to have another go. Anyway, the reason for the ramblings, I got a jam pan from a CS last week for £5. I dont think its been used much as the manufacturers label was still on the outside and readable.
Time for me to go and rake over the garden and prepare for the veggies to go in.

afternoon all
not happy with this miserable weather and had to go out in it. but on the upside i finally got my repeat presciption sorted and booked an app for asthma clinic. also had nice suprise in the post with a booklet of £3 coupons off edenred. they where what pinecone sent me for a survey i did last week. to my suprise i used them in tesco woohoo, plus i had another free flash, a reduced options hot choc down to 16p and 2 wombled receipts.
first time for me to do wombling and was gutted that there were loads of receipts in car park but they were all wet. no matter i still saved £4.20

Wombling refers to the Wombles of Wimbledon that went round picking litter up in the 80's. Or was it the 70's? So womble any dropped or thrown away receipts, input details on T's or A's website and you may then hopefully get a voucher. hth0 -
