    Hi all
As most of you know I hate Mr T's they're trying to take over the world so I avoid like the plague!!!

Had a lovely day today, went to car boot this morning, looking for bits for the caravan, got 5 plastic dessert / cereal bowls, 3 wine glasses, a jug (ideal for pimms!) and a big bowl for £1.90, marvellous! Kids also bought some bits and bobs for 20p here and there, kept them happy and quiet!

I usually shop in the co-op, got a whoopsied posh pizza for tea tonight, 2 packs of part cooked french sticks for 21p each! And a couple of other things, they always seem to have good reductions.

Very excited about ebay, selling lots of items including the boys huge Thomas collection, one set of trains is at £27 with an hour to go. We're also sold a caravan porch for £61 today. My bids are over £200 atm so I'm hoping to have made about £300 after fees once everything's finished, maybe more even, v excited!!!

    :hello:

Evening everyone, hope we're all doing okay :)

It's been a busy week, still sorting out all of the things in the new house and finding other things that either need fixing/replacing or that we need but didn't have in the first place. Me and OH have been to Mr S today for the food shopping - we spent quite a bit again, I have a feeling that Mr T would be cheaper but it's further to drive there...

I've got some supply work for all of this next week which will be lovely :) and some more pennies in the pot! We paid off all the wedding balance on Thursday so we're skinto, so it's just the right timing too.

rising - your tale about the sm had my chuckling away :D hope you're feeling much more mellow now ;)
Erme - I'm not sure, could you google it? :)

:jGreat news Slowly ... pleased you're settling into the new house and getting to "know it". Not long until the big day now!:)
Have new found energy - bed's been changed, washing is on and about to go an split the packs of mince for the freezer ... things are looking better already!:)

Just to prove what a difference it's made .... instead of wrapping the mince and putting it in the freezer, I've been cooking (realised the other day I was down to 2 portions each of chicken and beef casserole):

    • 2 x 450g packs made into a huge pot of mince
    • 2 x 450g packs made into sauce for Spag Bol and Lasagne (in separate pots as only have one big enough to take that much )
    • Lasagne made (and had for dinner :))
    • 2 x 450g packs wrapped & in the freezer
Phew ..... now that would never have happened without the DC! Only downside - the washing up! Better get to it!

Wow sounds like you've had a fab day and very impressed with your e*ay sales!

    Well done!
  • Evening All! Sounds like Dixon of Dock Green! Hope everyone is well, and excited because ............... only 2 days and Feb is over! The weather has been beautiful here down South, and the grass had grown so much over the past few weeks, that I got the mower out, put the blades on high, and gave it its first cut.

I was knackered when I'd finished, but glad that it's over! My worst problem is oak leaves. We have huge trees on the land behind us, and no matter how many buckets I collected, it didn't seem to make much difference - but half an hour a day collecting, weather permitting, for, er, um, several weeks, should help!

Doggy's paw is healing, but slowly, so we are taking him for a street walk tomorrow, first walk for weeks. Hope everyone's budgets are OK!!

    xx

I've just made a huge batch of Chilli con Carne - 1500g of minced beef, 4 cans each of Value Toms & Kidney Beans from Mr M - managed to get 18 portions for the freezer. Probably could have stretched it out further, but made it into generous portions as it tasted so delicious!
