    Thinking long term.

Lets not forget that although prices are stagnating at present, once the banks balance sheets are looking better in a few years they will start lending again. When banks are lending - house prices go up.

Over the long term houses always go up in value.

Cannot believe Bardon got banned. That is pathetic. I always thought that the point of these forums was to debate stuff, as opposed to listening to a one sided bleating from a bunch of whining/TFH kids, which is where the forum seems to have ended up. I did not agree with Bardons views but that does not mean that I do not want to hear or consider them…..

But there's still those who refuse to believe it...
Sounds like boll0x.. nothing on his profile suggests he's been banned
Technically, you don't get banned on HPC. You have your posting and PM privileges removed without warning, leaving the somewhat naive bears with the belief you've simply stopped bothering
Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam
  • I have just been baned , well as the above post states my posting privileges have been removed by a mod. There was no warning it just happened , I have e-mailed them to ask why but there has been no reply.

Mike, posting privilege removed, do you have a link to a thread that would have caused the ban?

The way you lot harp on about getting banned from housepricecrash you'd think it was the scene of some kind of legendary battle between good and evil that our grandchildren will learn about in school in years to come. I really don't think anyone cares about hpc anymore than they care about the time sibley posted some dull comments which he thought were ace on a daily express article.

It would be interesting to read the thread and mikes banned comments.
  • I am not even sure what the message of housepricecrash crash is anymore. When it was originally set up it was run by people who had a genuine honest belief that there would be a property crash.
It was then sold as a going concern, it seems it is now a site that talks and posts about anything relating to a property crash(which is fair enough, but where the owners of the site have no opinion one way or the other.

I even suspect that now that the site is producing an income for someone, they don't want a crash to come and go. And as well as it's heavy censorship and anti bullish stance from what I gather it does not even like posts that are pro active, and what I mean by that posters that want to get together and actually start doing something about their plight, something that I think many of them have.

I think housepricecrash is just a site full of lost souls who have a good argument and grievance, and staff that are feeding off their plight.

    Horrible site

IS that run by nazis? I went on there on the forums and said that I'd just bought a flat and went through a few figures and kind of said how it was a good, sound, buy considering my circumstances next thing I know more than one person is accusing me of being an Estate Agent and now Ican't post. I also sent an email to the forum admin and they didn't reply.

Lots of people quote that website as a bit of an oracle, but it seems a little dodgy to me - they're v.paranoid on there.

You went to most bearish property website on the planet to broadcast the virtues of your buying decision and they rogered you. What did you expect?

Indeed the original owner of HPC sold out to FUBAR who then went on to buy a house in 2006. Since then the site has descended into some fascist cesspit where only the dregs of humanity and the dirt you find on the sole of your shoes have accounts remaining. What do you expect when you have the likes of Bruse Spanner moderating posts and private messages.
