Lots of people quote that website as a bit of an oracle, but it seems a little dodgy to me - they're v.paranoid on there.

The name of the website says it all. Why go on there in the first place and post the comments you quote? Who says it is a bit of an oracle ?

I always thought it was the other way round. Sibley constantly going back to the HPC site daily (from which he got banned) and then bad mouthing HPC back here.

I only ever look on there when somebody posts a funny link in here.

They lost the war a long time ago. They tried to take over the internet and media and brainwash everyone into thinking house prices would crash.

Now prices are stable they look a bit silly.

All their doomsday predictions went wrong and the ones who STR have lost thousands.

I want Ferrari prices to crash. The economy tells me on paper prices are too high. I bet I won't be driving one around anytime soon

I was banned from there, like the OP without the courtesy of a warning, explanation or notification.

Their "education" clearly doesn't bear scrutiny.

Such a group of saddo's I have never seen before - and that includes the 'Thimble Collecting Forum of The Isle of Wight'!!!!

Now, one can forgive them for being so bitter .... they sold their families down the river by selling up - convinced that the market would crash, to then buy back at a massive profit - or, buy a mansion instead.

Trouble is, they got it badly wrong - they misjudged badly - most jumped ship in 2002 - 2004 ..... they watched the bubble blow up to 2007 (so, they jumped too early) .... they then watched as it deflated during 2008, hitting bottom in 2009.

Their problem is that they are still sat there, watching, through 2010 and 2011 ...... when prices have soared upwards.

Most have spent over £100,000 in rent, buying someone else's house for them ....... what a mess they have made of their lives.

I guess we would all be bitter about that .... go easy on them, for they know not what they do ...........
