OS Daily Thread for Thursday 10th November

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Thursday 10th November This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

  • Morning everyone....

Late this morning .. up at 2 and went back to bed at 4 to get up at 5-30 with OH to get him off to work...

OS today.... ermm... does the steak & stilton pie count? Should have been tuesday tea as a stew ended up as thursdays lunchtime lol

Well Im ready for today as much as I can be.... the support on here and on the relationship board has over whelmed me... Posts saying what an inspiration I am and stuff :o shucks I dont see it like that I did what I had to do...

I guess the good news for Exs new pregnant girlfriend is that when it happens to her she wont have to have all the reports done again :rotfl:

If today goes as I feel it might it will be the last time I ever see ex which is a good feeling

Huggles to all those who need it and I will let you know what happens....

Good Luck FW, I went through something similar with my ex, he hasseled me for 5 years, just for money though as the kids are grown up.
I'm off to work soon & I'm full of joy at the prospect, still I have one more machine working so it's getting better.
Lamb chops for tea, cooked in the Remoska on a bed of thinly sliced potatoes & onion.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning everyone,

Thinking of you Farmerswife, hope today is not too traumatic.

Also thinking of you Lou and sending lots and lots of hugs.

    And also hugs to Cat.

It is dark and gloomy and damp here and I have finally had to give in on pegging out the washing, it was coming in wetter than it went out!

Busy day at work again today and then I am going to produce another vegetarian meal for the children, hopefully they won't add ham today!

Well done to Noah and happy belated birthday to Adelight.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

LouLou my thoughts and Best Wishes are with you, Stay strong xxx

To all those who have sent me their best wishes, thank you they really are appreciated :)

Yesterday I got my email sent off, got DS his medication and managed with his help to make the bed so the house looked reasonable for my property visit... after a long rest we did play Ludo (I won) but struggled to get through it. Then rested while DS mainly looked after himself (he's such a good boy), I did manage to read for a short while before getting dizzy (The Christian Mama's Guide to Having a Baby, it's really inspirational and keeping me positive) after which I did get my Flu jab (in and out in less the 5 minutes). DH made me dinner, after which I rested again and fell asleep about 7pm!

Last night I woke up twice with pain just above my left hip (in my back) and the pain shot right across to the front across my womb and I was in so much pain at 12 and 2am!! I am pretty sure it was a combination of ligaments/baby weight/baby pressing in the wrong place, but boy did it hurt I almost had DH run me to the maternity unit because it wouldn't calm down! It's like a huge cramp, but only on the left side!!!

Today i have nothing until the school run this afternoon, then tonight DH is away so I have to make dinner of Sausage Casserole (DS will help as it's quick and easy to make) and I have to take DS to Cubs tonight.

I was just looking at next weeks menu... I have planned leftovers for 6 nights out of 7 so I don't have to cook much (DS is at his dad's for 3 nights of them so it's just DH eating)! Well it's better then takeaways :)

I think I am going to go rest again, I want to make DH some 'Thank You' cards for his gifts from Sunday, if I feel better later I might get a start on them (Just got to be careful not to sit too upright like I did last time and nearly fainted at the table... so today I will try making them in my comfy chair so I can lean back some!) if I just cut and fold the card today... that'll be a start :)

Hope everyone has a great day xxx

    Morning all!

It's nearly the weekend again! This week has gone so quickly! (i'm not complaining, as of the 25th i'm off work for 17 days:j )

I've lost a little bit more weight which is good, hope to get down to the next lb mark tomorrow.

Lentil soup for lunch for me today and cheese sarnies for OH.

Dinner no idea, I think pork steaks for OH and I'll have what ever i find in the freezer. Theres meatballs and lasagna in there.

Need to clean kitchen and just potter this evening, I'm leaving house work for the weekend.

    Have a lovely day all

Foggy here today and there is a chill in the air, but I am holding off on the heating so far.

I have a bill to pay and a small food shopping trip to do today and then I will probably try to catch up on some knitting this afternoon.

Keeping everything crossed for you today FW x
