Does anyone have this book? My OH bought it for me a couple of weeks ago

No but just ordered it from Sainsburys for £7 for my daughter for Christmas so will have a look through before wrapping it ☺
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
  • I know this is quite an old thread now but I just wanted to add that I;ve now tried the pea and parsley soup and it's delicious, and so very easy.

What else have ou made and loved from the book that I can try next?

How many curries could you make from this quantity of paste?

Sorry for the late reply! You can make 2 curries for 4 people with that amount, it really depends on which other ingredients you add afterwareds... the curry paste is just a base. I usually put it in yogurt pots and freeze it.
  • Have got this for Christmas, can't wait to get home and start cooking from it! It's exactly my type of cooking, and lots of familiar ingredients, so am likely to get a lot of use out of it!

I've been going through it putting sticky notes on recipes I want to try asap and there's one on every other page! They all look delicious and very simple.

That was exactly what I though, lots of familiar ingredients just done a bit differently!

My big sister bought me it for christmas, haven't put it down! Can't wait to try almost every recipe!
Can't think of anything smart to put here...
  • Ooh I got this for a pressie and really looking forward to trying loads of the recipes. My DD fancied loads and picked out the Chachouka and the Kale and Mushroom Lasagne. I also really fancy the tahini dressed courgette and green bean salad and the Mushroom Stoup amongst many others. We're not veggie but do eat veggie alot and am now suffering from a terrible tummy from eating sooo much meaty meals over christmas that I 'm just not used to. Bring on the veg and pulses that's what I say:T

Same here! :o Just sat with MSE open on the laptop and RCV in my hands scouring for recipes to make me feel better when I saw this thread.

As I got the book for Christmas, I have yet to make anything from it (I actually asked for River Cottage Everyday but so far I'm not disappointed with the Veg version considering I loved the series).
How long til pay day?

I havent watched the series but will try to on catch up TV.
