MSE....just whose money is martin trying to save???
I'm surprised nobody has picked up on this. Martin didn't kill the Tesco MOC thing - the greedy fools who abused the policy did that. Sadly those of us who have morals and intelligence enough to not attempt to screw every last penny we can out of this sort of deal, are the ones who have lost out.
Remember when you were at school, and the entire class got detention because one person misbehaved? Same thing.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

This isn't the best place to post this probably, but there isn't a grabbits discussion thread (as far as I'm aware!)
Remember the 'help me find' thread from last year, where people posted details of specific items they were looking for in case other fms had any info? It was massive! I'm surprised not to see it this year and I wondered if perhaps we'd been asked not to post non-grabbit threads?0 -
This seems to be one sticky too many, that in the large seems to have been ignored, it also means some fab bargains go to page 2 too quickly.
Any chance of expiring please?

I agree! It seemed to be an idea that never even got off the ground so why the thread is still here at all, as a sticky or not, seems a bit pointless to me. Dunno who to ask to remove it from a sticky though, maybe the OP?0 -
How are you meant to know when things expire? Some of the grabbits are pure misprices: they expires when the company realises
Or:
theres a handful of something on a shelf: they expire when they are sold: could be in the next 5 mins or the next 5 years.
Sorry if someone has already said this! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

A thread becomes expired when enough people press the expired button or a mod moves it on request.
Both the above are reasons why a deal would become expired.MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0 -

Yes, I know that, but If i go into my local asda and find a box full of printer cartridges priced at 10p each, I dont know when that deal will 'expire' do I?
I could guess its only minutes ( in which case why bother to post?) but it could be days that they are still there for and moneysavers could have headed over and grabbed the deal.
I like the fact currently we can write very specific deals like
'Asda Stockport Printer carts 10p loads left ' : I know theres no point in reading the thread as it wont apply to me as its too far.
Likewise if it looked like
Asda Lexmark Carts Was 16-99 ( are we supposed to know the exact price of these items to put in the thread title??) Now 10p E/ 19/2
I then have to click in to find where the location of the deal is.
Seems like a waste of time to me and you can imagine when people get it 'wrong' then someone will make a complaint and make people wonder why they bother in the first place, and consider posting the deal on HUKD in future ( for example) or not bothering at all . Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? easy, probably been said already:
food: already a forum for this, whether its a grabbit or not, no food items on grabbit.
freebies: same applies.
magazines: same applies.
If there is a forum for something, then a thread should be removed from grabbit and placed in that forum, or remove the other forum altogether.
you could be store specific, lots of Tesco threads daily put them in 1 thread, same applies to other stores.
B/G. stop being selective to their favourites, they move some threads, but leave others, because they are regular grabbit posters and they do not want to upset them.
nutshell: issue B/G's with proper guidelines, no exceptions to the rule.
pay them Martin, at least in a gift form, its noticable that some have not been logged on recently. No longer posting on freebies or comps0 -
i'm strugling to skim down the board but I think this may be due to the narrower forum design which is squashing titles over two lines and making them more difficult to read quickly.
Perhaps the newst post box could be slimmed or the sidebar removed on the main forum list pages as surely its the thread titles that are the most important part of those pages?0
