Funny how two of those items are grocery items :D yet for some reason are grabbit rather than grocery! Why not just re-label the grocery board - "if it's food, and from a supermarket or such like, post it in here". If someone posts food items in grabbit, just move it over. You police it quite thoroughly if someone posts a discount codes and it works with no problem. So it might take a couple of weeks, and some people will whine, but hey, 60,0000 people complained at the last facebook change, but they all stop eventually :D

I'm sure most people are able to use their computers enough that they can look at two boards rather than one - and those on mobiles looking for food deals know to go straight to grocery, where they'll probably find their deals quicker, as they won't be contending with all the other toy/electronic etc grabbits :)

It aint broke - so there's no fix needed.

But if you did want to fix it why do it with the name of the store first? That might make sense for groceries (though those shouldn't apparently be on grabbit) but it doesn't really work for anything else.

It's the PRODUCT, not the store it's from that is often the most important piece of information. This is especially true for online offers - where the actual store is immaterial. The store is only relevant if you're going out to the shopping centre for it (and not always even then) - but a lot of grabbits are online.

And, as someone's pointed out already, putting the store first would enable the store owners to find their glitches more quickly - and so it does risk ending some much earlier.

So, if there was a vote, I'd say NO. Keep it as it is - this suggested 'improvement' would make things worse not better. Might be appropriate over on the groceries thread though.

I thoroughly agree with that. If a change is needed (and let's face it, Andrea's post is probably a reaction to the recent hoo ha about groceries on Grabbit) then the change should be groceries on the groceries board.

Make it a rule, like the codes etc, and then enforce it, like the codes. Yes there'd be moaners at first but if that is the format of the boards then people will get used to it. The cry to have every offer posted on Grabbit is borne out of the laziness of some readers not wanting to read more than one board. But the boards should not be run to pander to the wishes of a few, but in the best interests of the majority.
  • Are you sure Martin doesn't work for Tescos? First he gets the MOC's killed off then its the 1p items, and now this site wishes to do tesco's work for them by correcting all their errors.

MSE....just whose money is martin trying to save??? :(

Incredible in a democratic society that the voice of so many can be overridden by the screams of a few.

The recent poll had support of 94% but the cries of foul from the back benches soon saw that democracy was once again defeated.

I have to say I would vote no to this. As a couple of posters above have already stated, putting store names/too much info in the title makes it easier for the "grabbit" to be "found" (iykwim) :)

Why not just leave things as they are, I manage to navigate my way around the different forums/threads quite easily with how they are posted/set out at the moment and I assume the majority of other users do too. Just my opinion :)

As you well know, "that poll" was rather badly worded, "do you want grabbits to stay on the grabbit board" or something like that, when what the poster was actually wanting to do was keep everything about TESCO on the grabbit board :) Now do a poll with the words framed like "would you rather grocery items moved to the grocery board, or stay on grabbit" and see what answer you get :);)

Sigh, yes, well done, you "waded in" and yes, well done all those from the Tesco thread for "thanking" Raven's post.

Do you think that sort of thing is helpful in ANY way? Honestly? Sit back and think about it before posting a knee jerk reaction.

It may not have been a perfect poll, but around a 1000 people managed to vote!! Thats a pretty big percentage of the ACTIVE membership here. As I said though, it got ignored as the screamers saw to it that it got discredited.

Perhaps you'd like to explain why a grocery grabbit shouldn't be on the grabbit board??

As regarding thread titles, I think barring the odd few, most describe the content of the thread very well.

Seems MSE wish to pander to those who can't be bothered to do a bit of leg work and read the threads. The way of the world these days :(

PMSL do you get paid for going around trying to discredit people and their comments?

    Get a life..............or a job as an MP ;)
