UKCPS: one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, they left a parking notice on my car even though I was parked in a bay in Huddersfield retail park. I only parked my car for not more than 15 minutes and found a ticket upon my return. Called to enquire what was the ticket about, the lady who answered the phone hung up on me when I asked who is UKCPS. Called again and a really cocky guy answered the phone, extremely rude, I asked to speak to the manager he said I have no grounds to speak to a manager as I am not a customer I am a debtor? said he is a lawyer and who am I to question him, he called me a lair never in my entire lifer I came across customer services like that.

I am surprised at the companies who hire people like that to represent there companies and I companies who hire companies like UKCPS to manage there car parks are being very unfair to their customers.

Great Northern Retail Park Huddersfield will never get any more of my, my families and every one I know's business.

Visit to Next or TKMAXX in Great Northern Retail Park Huddersfield could cost you a lot more than you expected, so I would recommend avoiding going to Great Northern Retail Park Huddersfield.

You have realised you should never have contacted them and certainly not by phone? Hope you gave no details away except your name and phone number?

Have you realised we have a whole current forum, this thread you found is ANCIENT. HERE IS THE FORUM:

  • I was told that it is ILLEGAL for the Parking company to call it a 'FINE' and that it must be called a penalty notice. Or PCN, Parking Charge Notice? Would this be correct?
  • There is a website that helped me a while ago. its called get out of debt free, without the spaces between words.

Private Parking Companies can neither issue charges called 'Fines' nor 'Penalties'. All they can issue are speculative invoices that they call 'Parking Charge Notices'.

Which PPC is calling them 'fines'?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Had a penalty notice from UKCPS when I parked in a disabled bay without displaying my blue badge, my fault admittedly, but after appeal to them, giving all details of the badge etc UKCPS unsympathetic and enforced fine. Very nice attitude to disabled persons, maybe one day they will be visited by disability.
It is very difficult to pin these bandits down they hide behind data protection by saying that their offices cannot be accessed due to it. They are believed to be at 1200 Century Way Thorpe Park Leeds LS158ZA. shown as a correspondence address . A Gary Paul DEEGAN correspondence address 42, Ring Road, Middleton LS104AX is the registered active secretary. He likes to hide himself as does the General manager who is shown as Peter HASWELL.
They do not publish an e mail address that you can send anything to I wonder why. Any correspondence by e mail is always with a no reply facility. It is difficult to get a response from them.
All the money paid goes to Lloyds Bank by debenture.
Wonder what the set up is for paying taxes etc, How much did they squeeze from Joe Public last year.
It would be nice to flush these leeches out and give them a bit of hassle, they like dishing it out but can they take it.
If anybody has any information lets share it.

Used to work out of a portakabin at the rear of the Blooming Rose pub, Leeds. Read about it on this old thread - visited by The Sheriffs (but I don't think the BBC iPlayer episode still plays).
