I don't have nothing fake at all. When I got my pacemaker inserted the scar went keloid and I went from being confident in my "normal" self that I started to experiment with products etc to cover the scar that I was sure everyone noticed. 5 years later I have a much bigger scar to worry about but I've learned that no one worth bothering about actually notices.

I usually feel bad for the bleach blonde, morange streaked needs who walk past, must be crap when you're out all that money and you still look like you've been dragged through a hedge backwards.

Most of my blokey mates hate the fake look, but I do appreciate some women feel the need to have fake hair, tan, boobs, nails etc.My Bro is v handsome and got chatting to a girl , she went off to the loo and he zipped his jacket up at he same time and it ripped half her hair extensions out:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It really freaked him out:(

  • I've been growing my hair for the last 5 years and it's never got more than two inches longer than my shoulders... Disappointing (I think I need to take better care of it :o)

I also have very pale skin BUT equally lots of lovely bright pink hues that flare up whenever I'm even mildly exerted, so I look like I've run a marathon just from walking up a small hill. :/

I think the problem I see (others may disagree) is that some fake things CAN be done well and look good- but sometimes they just look rubbish and cheap because they haven't been done well.

The fake tan that looks like fake tan (sort of 5 shades too orange and makes you look like an extra from the infamous Roald Dahl story!) or the breasts that look like two halve foot balls stuck to the chest or (and this one does make me retch) when you walk into the gym changing room and find the odd dark clump of plaited hair (small braids, obviously extentions) on the floor.

I think done well you shouldn't be able to tell something is fake, when it stands out its often for the wrong reasons: because its unflattering and more so, because your left thinking "babe, you'd look so georgous if you only hadn't done that to yourself!" No one ever looks at someone with a bad job done and thinks 'they're a lost cause even with the plastic', the reason it stands out is because your aware of the real person behind all the fake stuff and feel frustrated with what would seem like a bad job. You know they could look better and feel confused at all the effort they've put in to look otherwise!

I think what so many people don't realise: what most people realise once you get older is that far more then anything else (the long hair, the huge breasts, the long eyelashes) is that its your youth that makes you look amazing, and your health. This radiates far more then any fake stuff and its such a big shame that most people wont even realise this until they've lost it.

Please don't feel bad for me. I don't look like I've been dragged anywhere and I like my hair. Doesn't cost a fortune, either :)

Natural doesn't have to equal "Erin O Connor" and fake doesn't have to equal "Katie Price" you could just as easy say fake equals "Cheryl Cole" and natural equals "Adele".

Fake doesn't have to be done to the extreme of Katie Price or Jodie Marsh and can enhance and improve looks.

I am quite pale and I don't like tanning or using sunbeds because of the cancer risk so I use fake tan if I go out. I don't use false nails or extensions because I don't have the time or money but if I did I probably would. If I could afford it I would def have veneers done. I haven't had a boob job as most people think I have implants anyway but if they went saggy in the future I would seriously consider it.

Some people look dog rough with the natural look and some dog rough with the fake look and vice versa. I think a healthy balance is nothing to be ashamed off.
