You're absolutely right SSS -thing is too, the rides aren't really worth q'ing for anyway?
Disney will be great - Florida or Paris?
I've just taken the rather drastic (IMO!) action of removing my stored CC details from all electrical items. And, my CC is currently sitting in a large bowl of water in the freezer........0 -
The drastic action is working out well.......
Had a meeting in London today. Could quite easily have bought a rather nice jumper that I spotted at St Pancras whilst killing some time. Also resisted a rather bargainous skin care pack that was on (a very) special offer that i received on a tempting email.
So.... spends of the day:
£2.45 for a bottle of coconut water at the train station.0 -
Morning!
I'm pleased to report that the CC is chilling nicely in the freezer, submerged in the depths of a massive Ice Cube!
Meeting a friend for lunch today... really looking forward to it, but don't want to spend the money! I seem to go from one extreme to another - I've always failed miserably at finding a happy spending balance.
Anyways - I have some cash in my purse so will use that.
Spreadsheets are all updated, just waiting for the rest of my salary to be paid and then I can do some shuffling and overpayments.
Still not sure about the Reg Saves money..... OP/Save or Open a Stocks and Shares ISA????0 -
Enjoyed a lovely (extended) and much needed catch up with my bestest of friends....... And, spend £10.50 which I didn't think was too bad. My BFF thought it was hilarious when I told her about my frozen CC!0
-
I think Autumn has arrived....... thankfully it's my favourite month!
CC still in the freezer!
Spends:
£10 - window cleaner (we need clean windows right?)
$14 - ESTA - my old one has ran out and I've just booked a business trip to the States for Oct, so if I want them to admit me, it's a much required spend
And, well, that's it.
Actually..... DH's spends:
Cinema Tickets for tonight - we're on a "date night" and we're going to see the Inbetweeners - £15 ish
Birthday gift for DS1's friend - £9
Sweets for Cinema - £2
Sandwich Stuff for lunches - £4
We're eating out too before the Cinema, but I had a £20 Prezzo voucher - so that's where we are to. Shouldn't need to put too much towards the bill.
Nothing much planned for the weekend, so shouldn't be very spendy.
Oh, and I ordered some boots, shirt, jumper before the CC was relegated to the freezer. They arrived today. Shirt no good - returning. Boots nice but not comfy - returning. Jumper totally gorgeous but need the next size up - so returning.
I asked DH to reorder the jumper in the next size up and he said it needed to go on the list for a week to see if I still wanted it. Taste of my own medicine I suppose!!0 -
Oh.... also, got paid today, so money shuffles completed (well just about, I will do a few more once my expenses are completed and paid).
OP sent to mortgage, will wait for the DDM to go in on the 1st and then I'll be able to update my signature. Love seeing the balance come down.
Enjoy the weekend!0 -
And, still haven't decided what to do with the FD Reg Saves Money:
Put aside for next years holiday?
Saves account for, well, saves?
ISA?
OP Mortgage?
Open stocks and shares ISA?
Saves towards deposit for B2L?
The options are endless...... will most likely just end up OP'ing.0 -
