Agreed!!
Off to the cinema this morning, it's the kids viewing but it's a film we've not seen and it cost a total of £5 for the 4 of us, bargain!
I have a couple of birthday presents to buy, three birthdays in the next few weeks.... Will need to grab them at some point over the weekend.
I need to spend a few hours doing a little bit of work too at some point, maybe this afternoon.
It seems to be starting to snow... Looks more like sleet at the moment but the forecast says snow. When I was driving on the m25 and m1 yesterday there were huge signs warning of severe weather on Sunday......0 -
Children enjoyed the cinema yesterday..... We spent the rest of the day being rather lazy although the weather was very grey and wet so not really feeling inspired to go out.....
Weather much the same today. Had to pop out to the shops earlier - 3 birthday presents to buy. Also some flowers for a friend as we're going to their's for Sunday roast later this afternoon....
39p account tidy.
I didn't realise until now that there are so many birthday expenses in Feb.0 -
Roll on the 20th for pay day, funds are starting to run low....0
-
BTW - I would usually take a bottle of wine with me to our friends if we've been invited to eat, but since I'm on a booze ban, i got the flowers instead....0

What did you go to see at the cinema?
Really pleased to hear that you're near the £100k mark, it will be a great psychological barrier to break0 -
Thanks Ed... We went to see an oldish film - Hotel Transylvania (a kiddy film)... it was pretty good, I actually quite enjoy watching kids films.....0

A little bit of snow here when I woke up this morning and it's been snowing most of the day...
Had to drive to a meeting this morning, dropped the boys off at hol club/nursery on the way out....
Came home, had a snooze as felt exhausted despite going to bed at 9om last night.
Checked accounts, seem OK although most of them are running low - pay day in 9 days. 18p account tidy.
I'm getting the house moving itch again. Not sure whether to embrace or fend it off. We can't afford our dream house (whatever that is) at the moment so I guess we should just stay put. Nothing round at all with our house, just being greedy.0 -
Would you have to take on a bigger mortgage if you moved lulabelle? I get the itch all the time but the thought of a bigger mortgage puts me off completely.
Saying that though, I now need a bigger house with grounds for a paddock and stables for the horse I intended to adopt yesterday!0 -
Unless we claim squatters rights, then yes, we'd need to have a bigger mortgage Ally.....
I'm not sure if I'm ready to take on the extra financial commitment at the moment though. My (our, lol) whole mortgage free thing has been more about getting rid of this mortgage (or reducing it) so that we are in a better position financially to either move to a more expensive property or stay where we are and invest in buy to let. I never actually thought that we would be mortgage free and then just spend the money on magic beans - although I'm sure that DH would be more than happy to do this!
I know that we could save the money instead but I'd rather have it invested in property somehow.
Workwise, I'm a long way off been ready to pack it in or reduce my hours etc, so being mortgage free wouldn't ever mean working less, well not for a long while anyway....
Alot to think about but in no dire rush just yet.0 -
Hmm squatters rights? I wonder how many or even if people have got their property this way.
Sounds intriguing, off to view my dream house me thinks lol0
