Thanks. I know but some of it has been necessary (wedding gift, winter coat and boots from Tesco, steam cleaner to clean up after cat) but I do agree that some hasn't been (throws from BHS).

How are you doing today anyway? I'm rather chilly and having to drink fruit tea as no milk!

Hmm okay then ;), but time to start cranking out the NSDs :D, I'm not doing too good at the moment :(, broken pelvis is upping the pain levels

Think I may wear a suit to the wedding instead of hiring a kilt but that doesn't seem as nice. I do actually need the winter boots as last winter wasn't fun and have lost most of my winter jackets thanks to drunken nights out which have been vastly reduced now so fingers crossed this new one lasts all season. The steam cleaner is great and am hoping it'll cut down on cleaning materials but if not then I will return it. I started well with lots of NSDs but it has gone downhill since. Should manage a few this week and will post them when I do. Sorry to hear you're not doing too good. Hope you're keeping warm and hugging those mugs of tea too.

Wooh, well done you! I've subscribed and have posted the first reply to!

As I said, I think I will become addicted to the steam cleaned. Can use it as a steam mop on the floor and has a carpet glider attachment too. Various different nozzles too for use with the removable hand steamer. Got it on price-drop tv so take a look as it's the cheapest price I've seen for a two in one.

I would fall in love with a Victorian terrace too if I could afford one. I think that part of the love with them is the work you have to put in although I'm sure it doesn't feel like that until after it's all done.

Starbucks skinny mocha frappucinnos are my weakness but the venti size is £3.70 a pop!

wish i had found out the way to stop spending then i could patent it. :)
i'm a terrible emotional spender and once i've started i find it really hard to stop so the only thing i do is try my best never to start spending in the first place. doesn't always work but i keep trying.

Emotional spending as in when you are sad or when you are happy? Off to type up a wee diary update.

I think part of the problem with spending these days is that shopping is now seen as a leisure activity not just an action we need to do.

    It's me again!

Had my trip to Tesco to pick up my clothing which had been there since Saturday. I received a text saying my order was ready for collection AFTER I had collected it! Really not impressed with Tesco's service especially when it was my first order. I only bought the following things that I needed and that got me bonus points:

    Value toilet roll (£1.31)
Value laundry liquid (£1.65) (25 points)
2.5kg King Edwards (reduced to 56p) and 4kg Value carrots (reduced to 54p) (25 points)
    2 packs strawberries (reduced to£1.74) (25 points)
Light Choices chips (£1.50) (25 points)
    4 pints milk (£1.18) (25 points)
6 crusty rolls and 6 Scottish morning rolls (£1.00) (25 points)

Total £9.48 and 165 points (worth £6.60 on four times deal)

Also got £15 of petrol which probably doesn't even touch the sides of the fuel tank! I had to go to the customer service desk to add my “25 extra points when you spend £1 on bread” as the checkout apparently doesn't count rolls as bread!

Posted all my letters which took a dozen stamps so I'm glad I had plenty in my wallet rather than having to buy them. Then headed home via Lidl where I had to spend £5.44 on 32 trays of cat food and £1.79 on cat litter.

The bargain King Edwards have all been boiled, mashed, portioned into four takeaway trays and put in the fridge. 600g of the carrots have been added to red lentils and ham stock to make a pot of soup. 1.4kg of my bargain carrots remain so any suggestions as to what I should do with them?

Just had a bowl of the soup with two crusty rolls and, even though I say so myself, it was lovely.

A very special late night post as just got an email from Quidco; they are paying £195 into my bank account today! Woohoo! Probably won't show in my account for a few days but at least it's on its way. The £26.20 from Pureprofile is now showing so it's a double celebration!
