Really. And exactly where is your evidence for both statements?

OP,please ignore Vax2002.Even if this guy does have paranoid schizophrenia (and nobody here can diagnose that) the incidence of them killing strangers is much lower than others and there certainly is not a high incidence of them generally committing a violent crime at all.

To add to that, schizophrenia was shown to be associated with lower rates of violence than depression and (most significantly) personality disorder (which can also be very severe).

Unfortunately, some people like to post things to scare others when they have no idea what on earth they are talking about!

I wonder if any suicide has actually been schizophrenic murder....

I shouldn't laugh at that hehe

That would dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality) though but it does happen in both lol

I'll let you off though as many people confuse the two and you make me laugh ;)

  • I wish it was – that would be preferable to the current situation where he wants to keep seeing her.

No, I have a serious point. He is led by his...equipment...to be nice to her, gets what he needs, then wants her out of his sight.

There are people like that - suggests he wants f**k buddy.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

IMHO - it maters not a fart the excuse he made for his behaviour but the main issue here is that he was abusive to your friend and threw her out of her house with complete disregard for her feelings or safety.
I would refuse to meet the BF nor would I 'investigate' this man nor would I try and guess what was wrong with him. I certainly would not be going down this avenue with the friend as many women love a challenge and playing Miss Marple which will only add to the interest she has in him.
I would sit the friend down and question why she is so desperate for a man that she would allow a man to abuse her!
    I would ask her:
    1) Is she suffering from low self esteem?
    2) Is she lonely?
    3) What parts of her life does she not llike and how can she improve them?
    4) How do others treat her?
    5) How does she treat them
    6) How does she define abuse?
    7) Has she ever been abused?
    8) Given an abusive scenario - how does she react?
    etc
This way the focus is all about her and not the BF - thus lessoning his importance.
I would then refuse to listen to discussions on the BF and instead ask her the same questions about her every time he's mentioned. Its her life but you can give her the tools to change it into something more positive.

some strange advice on here... make sure you meet him away from his hous; why? what's he going to do apart from shout at you to f*ck off and then phone you next week apologising,

Are you sure he said he was possessed by a ghost and not a goat? that could explain his baaarmy behaviour.

Finally... I'm single, do you have any more stupid mates?

I have to say, why would anyone meet a friend's new bloke in his house in the first place?? (unless it's a dinner evening, and those usually not happen until after people met at least once and quite often in couples - ie not 1 man and 2 female friends walking into guys house for a coffee! Especialy when it's an hour drive!)

The excuse of being possesed by a ghost is simply ridiculous. Even if you yourself did believe in them, you would not actualy say it out loud!!! I would have different answer if he said he was sleepwalking. As it is, the answer is - Is she really stupid???
